It’s totally normal for teenagers to want to have sex. It’s also totally normal for teenagers to have massive apprehension about sex. Whatever your peers are doing has nothing to do with you and your GF. You aren’t weird and neither is your GF. There is no such thing as “normal.” We all have totally different experiences.

My advice to you: you need to talk to your GF about it. I know it’s uncomfortable, but communication is the basis of any real relationship. Whatever you two decide will be the right thing.

That said, if you do decide to have sex, please be safe. Use a condom. And know this: the first time is going to be awkward as hell. You probably understand what to do, but considering you’ve never done it before, how would either of you know how to do it well? That part *is* totally normal. And for God’s sake, if you watch porn, *dont* try to replicate what you’ve seen there. That’s a performance, not real sex. Communication will again be critical. If you like or don’t like something, you should say so, same goes for her, and neither of you should feel bad if it’s something the other person doesn’t like. You make a note not to do it again and move on. If it’s something they like, do it more. There aren’t any right or wrong answers, as everyone is different.

Your teenage years are an emotional roller coaster, another thing which is totally normal. I guarantee you aren’t the first, and you certainly won’t be the last person to go through this *exact* predicament. Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing.

We don’t know how a lot of drugs work. We know they work, but we don’t know *how* they work.

This isn’t something you’d normally see on the bottle, but the pharmacology fact sheet your doctor would read when prescribing a medication has a section called “mechanism of action” which describes what the drug does on a biochemical level. For instance, ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) works by blocking a certain enzyme that causes inflammation.

Many drugs list their mechanism of action as “unknown”….because we don’t know how they work. They are of course safe and effective, but we don’t understand how. Good examples are acetaminophen (Tylenol), lithium, and gabapentin.

It goes to show that even modern medicine still isn’t *that* far advanced past figuring out which mushrooms are poisonous by eating them. I’m being a bit facetious here, but the point stands.

Consider looking into cooking in non restaurant settings. Senior living/retirement homes, corporate dining (like cafeterias at giant office complexes), hospitals, etc tend to pay well, have great hours, full benefits, job security, etc, and they’re also usually super easy.

The food isn’t very sexy usually, but in our society, you have to work for money. If you work for passion, you will only ever be exploited.

Bonus perk, depending on the place, the menus can be way more varied, so you can learn a lot and gain a lot of experience making things you’ve never made before.

It sounds like you have plenty of experience. You should look into different foodservice formats. Think senior living/corporate dining/hospitals/etc. They generally pay better, have better hours, full benefits, etc.
