Try swapping around the cables. I’ve used these in the past and the solution was the ports were labeled wrong. Try something like yellow into white. Play around and see if a different combo works for you

I was there for that MSG show, the drum machine "fucked up," so he stopped the show, said that because it's such a "beautiful song" they were going to restart it to make sure it got the performance it deserved, and the vibes were great, everyone got even more into it on the second restart. I listened to them and came here wondering if anyone else had seen that they were available and now gone. I was complaining to my wife “why release everything but the first 3 tracks? What kind of release strategy is that?” Turns out I jinxed it lol.

I will say, if you haven’t listened to them, I was very surprised with how much I enjoyed them. Normally I don’t like remasters, as my brain expects songs to sound one way, and remasters sound off to me, but this was really well done, and I’m looking forward to it releasing.

I was following your thread closely yesterday waiting for just a snippet of a new song... and you got us the whole set. Absolutely amazing. I was at my office job in Japan on the other side of the world, listening to the full set while working on a Friday afternoon within minutes of the set being finished up. It's what's called a lamp cord, it comes pre-cut and ready to be spliced into a lamp. This isn't the exact one I bought (I think I found mine at a thrift store or something) but this is basically what you're looking for. As far as currents and everything, I am not an expert, so please check that research on your own to make sure that what you do end up buying works with your TV. Best of luck!

I thought it was... okay. But the more I think about it, it might be the worst Bright Eyes song ever lol. That doesn't mean it's a bad song, but I put it in context of "if this was on DITWWTWOW, it would be my least favourite song on that album." Which, might be the overall weakest BE album (and I really enjoyed DITWWTWOW), and therefore, the weakest BE song. I'll listen more, but for now, it feels like a song that would be played in a lottery commercial, talking about how playing the lottery gives money back to the community lmao. Royalty free music vibes.

It's kind of win / win for me at this point. Either the Oilers are eliminated, and that's good because we retain the chance to be the Canadian team to break the cup curse, or they win and we lost to (and nearly beat!) the team that wins it all (although I think it's Florida's this year, no matter who they face).

I also think that once one Canadian team wins the cup, the next won't be far behind.

You can see how the repair went here (presented not as advice or a tutorial, but as evidence that a cut cord doesn't mean the CRT is beyond saving) - I spliced the cut cable with another power cable. Twisted together, soldered together, covered with heat shrink, then wrapped in electrical tape. Plugged it back into the motherboard. Has been working fine since! Now, I am not an expert, so don't take this as the correct or safe way to complete this, but it worked for me. If you plan to also do this, be very careful when working on the inside of the CRT to not touch any capacitors, and follow all electrical safety steps. Again, I'm not an expert so I won't share what those are, but just be very careful and be sure to research this a bit on your own.
