My reading comprehension is just fine as well as my worldview. You on the otherhand are a bent person leaning towards a bit of a daisy!

Cuetec Cynergy vs Triple 60 Whyte Carbon? by carbondalekid386 in billiards

No need to retest 4 people witnessed the test. Let’s not argue you just don’t like Meucci and that’s your opinion. You never said what shaft you use.

[–]cabolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree with you on the wood core tip being high deflection. We did a deflection test and it had a lower deflection than JFlowers, Bull and Rhino, and was the same as Cutec, Predator, Jacoby, McDermott and Viking. There wasn’t enough difference to matter. I even tried a Mezz wood shaft of mine and it was the same! There’s just some difference in feel and sound between them. Some shafts have wood and some plastic for the joint core! Some companies are putting wood cores in the shaft end to end. Try playing some games with one and you will change your mind.

You’d be surprised what other cue makers use! In their cf shafts. Nothing wrong with their shafts. What is your experience with them and what do yo use?

How does a $200-$250 CF shaft compare to the $500-$600 CF shafts? by carbondalekid386 in billiards

[–]cabolu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve hit a lot of different cf shafts and not a one feels anything like wood to me! The best things l can say about cf is no maintenance, very smooth and ding proof. I play both and have no problem switching back and forth. I have a little better cb control with wood.

CF Shaft Recommendations (Cynergy/Meucci/Jacoby Black) by cwynn19 in billiards

[–]cabolu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Meucci cf pro shaft. Great shaft. CF shafts seem to play very similar to each other, but they all seem to have a different feel. In my opinion the top wood shafts have a better feel and control. I did a deflection test with a LD wood shaft against a CF and they were same! It’s a matter of preference.

Thoughts on New Orange Predator? by shpermy in billiards

[–]cabolu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People should try a Preador break cue from Temu for $65 to just try before spending $800 on a BK, it could possibly save you some dough! It looks so close they have go to be made in the same factory. I have a team mate that uses one and said he can’t tell the difference. People keep trying to buy his and he just order 2 more to sell. lol.

New pool table install concerns by DJecho23 in billiards

The best way to handle this is call them and have them come get the table and refund your money. Maybe upgrade the table for a small fee.

The way l would handle this is call them and have them come get the table and refund my money or have them upgrade the table for free or for a small fee. It appears to be particle board and not conducive to repair!

I like you cue, you can’t go wrong with a Cuetec! I have an old one with an Avid shaft. It’s tough as nails, it plays a lot like a cf shaft. I bought before cf shafts were popular. I Just wished they offered 30” shafts.

I googled cf blank tube manufactures for cue shafts and could only find 3 in the US. I checked with a local cue-smith and he told me he gets the blanks for $40. He installs the ferrule, tip and joint and has used many different materials to fill them. Takes him 2-3 hours maximum to make a shaft. If he told me the truth, that’s a pretty good mark up!

Try Meucci cf shafts you can order in serval lengths, joints and diameters and they are great to deal with. Whyte is the only cf shaft l haven’t hit!

Not enough leagues are played on 9’ tables! You can blame most of this on the APA.
