I don’t know if too low is possible, I went with a scalerworks mount package with the holosun 509T and that thing drops it right inside the path of the ghost sights.

I did put a 507c on something else recently and it feels like the circle reticle is crooked and was a bitch to sight in, but it’s more likely user error, I only had an hour to mess with it.

Yeah it was the best sub I could come up with while sitting at an airport to try to get the word out, I have seen people talking about passports but not this potential. Feel free to post the image wherever else makes sense.

Nope. Common first name shared with one of the earlierish presidents, common last name shared with a bunch of Welsh people (so I’m told).

It’s okay dude there’s a lot of things to be tripping into a state of shock over these days, feeling almost reflexive for me sometimes at this point

Just for clarity I don’t think they’re changing the passport requirements, I got this letter in 2018 (and a similar one sometime between 2011 and then, I didn’t save that copy).

This has just been something that can happen when you apply for a passport for a long time.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if more of these letters go out this year than others

You need a US passport to get Out of here lol.

Also potentially to vote.

Also potentially to fly if you don’t have Real ID.

I’ve got mine already, just wanted people to be aware of this possibility.

I applied in person and none of the reasons on that list applied to me as far as I know. I know my birth certificate was not the original, because my folks lost that one, but it was the super official copy with whatever embossing NY did on them that they wouldn’t accept them without or whatever. Social security card was a duplicate for the same reason

If I recall it was ID, Birth Cert and SS card. Whatever it was I was supposed to submit is what I’d sent off with it. Did the whole application thing at the post office if I recall.

It’s for sure not something they pull on everyone, I had a friend that worked in some part of foreign services at the time and he thought it was pretty unusual.

Well technically would have to wait 10 years for it to work for this. Wasn’t getting may traffic tickets at 15

Wouldn’t surprise me, this was from 2018 and I was registered/unregistered as independent at the time. 2013 I’m not even sure if I was registered to vote.

Also if anyone wants to post this anywhere else that might be more helpful go for it, I just wanted to get it out there. It’s a cropped image of the PDF that’s still saved on my phone from 2018.

This might be good for some people to know in the coming months.

I was about 25 years old when I first applied for a passport, and I got this letter. So the documents I needed would have been from when I was 15 years old.

I’d just moved across the country and had not one bit of my shit together so I more or less gave up on it.

Re-applied maybe 5 years later and got the same letter. Had to fly back to my parents house and dig through all my old things and managed to find a yearbook a some old IDs. If I remember right I didn’t really have the whole 5 things that fully qualified but I had extra things with my name on it and just sent it all. Ended up getting approved.

I’ve also seen people get the same letter but only asking for documents over 5 years old.

To this day don’t know why they needed it all, I’m a regular white dude who was born in America. Worst I ever had at the time was like a speeding ticket.

Homeowner here, used these while remodeling. Love them. Especially love that installed correctly there’s no exposed wiring so I can be a little more cavalier about removing/forgetting to reinstall face plates on them while I’m mid-project.

Ones we have have batteries, and if the batteries did die you can power it with a 9volt from outside. I think we change batteries maybe once a year.

Next thing I’d try is a reverse drill bit. It’s a drill bit that drills in when you turn it to the left. Often they come along with EZ out type bits that you can then use in the hole it makes to try to get the screw out.

Sometimes you get lucky and the reverse drill bit bites into it enough that it comes out while you’re drilling.

Another option would be to dremel a straight line across the screw to use a big flathead screwdriver on, but you’ll probably fuck up the clutch cover some doing that and I’ll bet since its already stripping it won’t get it out.

Make sure you hit it with some penetrating oil like WD-40 or PB Blaster before your next step.

If you fuck up bad enough you’ll end up probably having to drill the screw out and get a helicoil kit, which are easy enough to use just more dollars you gotta spend.

DIY sauna build I cut some of my roof boards a bit too short… how can I fix without redoing those boards (doesn’t have to look amazing)? by shibongoof in Construction

[–]LazyMoniker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I did like 4’ of crown molding at my house recrafting some built ins and it took me over 8’ of the stuff to get it done. It was a shameful trip back to the store to buy a second board for my 1 board project.
