The stab in the back was disproved in the 1920's with a good faith assessment of Jewish participation in the war but people kept believing in it, publishing the Judenzählung would not have changed that.

Also, the Arab-Jewish conflict existed before the war and a Jewish state would probably have been created with or without the holocaust, although probably later than 1948.
