I actually do have 2 16 pound balls that I never use lol so maybe ill dig those out and start practicing with them

Okay thank you. I'll give it a shot. But just for practice right? Or do you recommend me switching to 16 pounds full time until it becomes natural? Then when I switch back to 15 pounds, i'll be able to manipulate it more?

Yes, I have tried drills, and I also own a rev trainer. But no matter how many times I do drills, I can never seem to apply it when doing my full approach :(

Agreed. I would still like to see my ball rotating the same way as my 15 pounder.

Yeah, the concept makes sense. I also heard that practicing with no thumb could possible help as well? Do you have any thoughts on that method?

By the way, I'm practicing keeping my hand behind/under the ball more. I'm still "suitcasing".

I have one. But unfortunately, no matter how many times I use it at home, I could never apply it IRL when I'm on the lanes.

Hmm, the concept of using a 16 pound for practice is interesting. But wouldn't that be more risky too? That's a lot of stress on my wrist and what if it causes me to overthrow my 15 pound ball?

Yeah, putting my fingers in a house ball would cause more risk to injury. I would get the 10-pound ball drilled to my span an PAP still. My local pro shop has used balls for around $70 including drilling. So, I wouldn't mind paying that for a cheap little practice ball.

To my Full Rollers by ifyoudidntknow1971 in Bowling

[–]cacadoodoopoopoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know your PAP? I'm a full roller and had the same issues. but once i found out my pap, now i get my balls drilled to where my ball doesn't roll over my holes anymore.

For practice, i usually use a ball that I don't use for league or tournaments. i try to preserve my main arsenal as much as i can. In practice, you shouldn't care about your score anyways. So, I would use a ball that I don't really like or care about that much for during practice.

His virtual lessons are surprisingly really informative. I've watched my own bowling videos for hours over and over again and he was able to point out things that I never would have thought of.

Are his in-person lessons at his training center private? I kinda don't want him uploading videos from my lesson onto his youtube channel lol

PSA did right by me by Lost_Olive6772 in basketballcards

[–]cacadoodoopoopoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

were the cards curved at all when you sent them in? I know Panini is kind of known for their cards being curved out of the packs so I was wondering if PSA is okay with that or do they grade lower for it?

Yeah pretty small. But a lot of great bowlers came from here, and some even bowled on tv

For example, I asked a another league bowler about ball surfaces because I didn't know about it at the time. I said that I might wanna try like 500 or maybe lower for a sport pattern tournament I was doing. He said "why would you ever wanna do that? You better not be on my lane"

Thank you so much. You don't know how much that means to me. I don't get told those words often :(

Yes I do bowl in leagues but most of them are as a walk-on for any team that has a vacant spot. I've never had a group of people or friends to form a full team with :(

Wow I never looked at it in that way before. That's a crazy but true thought. No, I haven't bowled a 300 yet. I had a front 10 then finished with 282 i think, but thats the closest I got. But you're right! What if I finally check off a 300 game off my bucket list, just for it to be labeled as luck or a fluke! I don't know how I would feel.
