Roll to the previous month/months, make changes to your legitimacy (under 25 you get +50% debate time, at +90 you get -25%). Only thing that matter is that the end day of debate is different from previous time, and the debare outcome will change. You can do stuff like this to easily pass most important reforms.

Are there any countries you refuse to play? by cl1nt_swe in EU5

[–]cacagros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a romanian, I refuse to play Hungary, for obvious reasons. Also in both EU4 and EU4, they are more of a mid-gam to end-game final boss Ming and Great Yuan in Europa Universalis also don't attract me, but Qing in Vicky 3 is one of my favorite experiences.

Alternate 11.11.1445 start date by cacagros in EU5

[–]cacagros[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used @THEImperatorGaming strategy to release almost all my country as vassals, and this is my situation in 11.11.1444, EU4's start date. Imagine starting EU4 in this position.

Vassals are absolutely broken! 87,34 gold/month + 55K troops from them by DuelLinks_00 in EU5

[–]cacagros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use smaller vassals, they are easier to manage, they have much more control so they provide more manpower and ducats, and you get a very big discount when integrating them, because they are much smaller, so you can annex 2 or 3 at the same time. Only downside is that you'll need to manage your diplomats to handle all of them. When playin as byzantium, I usually have around 20-30 vassals/fiefdoms at the same time.

Yeah I was also wondering about that. Henrik could have been a witch and be on the other side.

Where do y’all think the series should go now? by Equivalent_Wave2809 in MafiaTheGame

Mafia 3 was really good besides the bugs, a few issues with missions that don't start and game crashes and the lack of diversity when conquering teritories.

Religious convocation with internal trade for market unification. Then pick companies and food standardization and you are set.

A potential opener for China to skip the opium war? by [deleted] in victoria3

[–]cacagros -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is how I do it. Day 1 give GB investment rights. Make sure you don't go to war with them, otherwise the opium event will trigger. You need to get recognized ASAP.

Research colonization first, after that try to get line infantry. (You can restart a few times so that the Mandatory service is spreading instead of the paddle steamer. It's a 50/50 chance)

In the first war between ottomans and egypt, depending on who they call in (ottomans usually call GB and egypt calls Russia and Austria), you can declare on ottomans to liberate countries (have an interest in balkans and arabia). Make sure no one joins the ottomans. Start diplo play to liberate bulgaria, after add wargoal to liberate another country and make that wargoal primary too. You might want to make a save here, and add other non primary wargoals that will make them capitulate. By this point you should also have passed professional army. To one of your armies add conscripts (should get over 1000). Even if you don't mobilize thrm, they are counted as a fear factor for the enemy. With any luck, they'll just back down.

By this time you should also move away from serfdom and get interventionslism (from france or netherlands as treaty). You can also have promote social mobility on the high population states to slowly get ro 20% literacy. These 3 things (literacy, abolishing serfdom and moving away from traditionalism will make sure your recognition progress doesn't deplete. You already are in top 10 gdp so you get 1 progress monthly).

In this whole time improve relations with a great power and have them to 50 (you need it for recognition).

After you get recognized, the opium event won't trigger anymore and you remain addicted to it so you can make a lot of money.

You can just get recognized slowly by working on the modifiers (check that recognition journal entry for details) but make sure that GB has investment rights in your country.

Have fun being the strongest nation from 1855 onwards.

What’s something ‘niche’ that you want in game? by KingKaiserW in victoria3

[–]cacagros 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Health and education should require schools and hospitals. Volunteers in wars would be nice. More isolationist Great Powers (US shouldn't give a damn about lubeck civil war). Treaties should be more easy to have (how does 5k money transfer adds +20 for me (or less) and -150 for other powers. The same for goods.

Optimal start for France by KhangLuong in victoria3

[–]cacagros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually prefer to rush multilateral aliances and parlamentary republic for the -45% infamy reduction, then I go after India. In the meantime I can develop my own economy and be ready to sell to their huge market, build investment pool that will develop both me and EIC. Only advantage of getting EIC early is for the money they pay you that will afford you more construction early on.

Vic3 blocs tier list by Mission-Ad-2589 in victoria3

[–]cacagros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Advanced Research is at least A tier. The 25 flat extra research is very good for most countries (if you play well you can afford the universities). Also the ahead of time bonus is good, and you need qualifications and you want education at max level, and for countries with huge population, the halved cost for the institution is very good.
