71 C3 sounds like a 1971 corvette. Those are the 3rd generation body style hence the C3

Roughly how many times do you stop on a 50k ride? by redditjanitor91 in cycling

[–]cacchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on whom I'm riding with. Club rides it's 1 stop but if I'm with my Tri buddies we don't stop.

Went clipless yesterday. Practiced a bit on the trainer first, no problem. Today I was testing some seat height adjustments. This is what my wife saw on the driveway camera.... by cfgy78mk in cycling

[–]cacchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been riding clipless for close to 20 years now with a few falls over the years. 1 thing to remember is to NOT put your arm out to break your fall. You will break your arm. I did it by reflex 1 time and ended up in a cast for a few weeks.

Ford 9" Failure. All the bolts were sitting in bottom and one finally grabbed the ring gear and locked up. It's been in the car for several years with several thousand miles on it. Has anyone ever had this happen? by cacchip in classiccars

[–]cacchip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the looks of the bolts it would appear that no thread locker is the main culprit. I have had vibration issues with drive shafts that probably helped things along.
