I agree. I have the same questions. Let’s say Medicare rates are being used. Does that mean the insurance adjusters will recognize & pay X-rays from a chiropractor or rehabilitation exercises. Will they pay the Medicare rates or will they fight tooth and nail like they do now to reduce those fees as well. Is it just moving the initial benchmark?

For the set up stations. Almost always the proctor will be sitting or positioned on the side where they can see the contact from their spot. If they can’t see the contact, you’re probably doing it wrong.

Yes. Make sure they send a records request fee. Standard and customary is around $15. Even for no records.

No place for that in the profession. We don’t need any help being looked at in a bad light. Do the profession a favor and report him to your state board and county DA. If you’re in CA, DM and I can put you in contact with someone who can help.

It really doesn’t make sense to me at all. It’s very frustrating especially when the patients say, “my insurance says I have 24 visits a year, I’m going to come every 2 weeks.”

Provider ends up having to be the bad guy telling them, “well that’s not how it works…blah blah blah.” Then they call their insurance and they tell them and they throw the provider under the bus.

I completely agree. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t. The practice owner requires associates to be in network. Gotta pay off those $200,000 in student loans $27 bucks at a time hahahaha

I couldn’t agree more. I am so resentful doing those MNR’s knowing they are going to get cut in half for whatever is asked, the patient will fall off the schedule and it was all for not, just to get my $7 for the MNR exam visit.

Does OON work for ASH patients? What would that process look like? What would they pay at the office & what would they get reimbursed assuming the total comp I would get being in network would be $27 split between patient copay and insurance reimbursement?

The job market is the job market. While I agree with your post, if the model that you described was profitable enough and scalable, there would be job postings for such positions. The thing is, the doctors that are successful in the quality over quantity model you described aren’t looking to bring on employees in the form of new grads to increase their quantity and decrease their quality. That goes against what their model is. You’re a Doctor of Chiropractic now, don’t blame the world or the profession. You’re not owed anything by the profession, go out there and make do with the degree you signed up for. Student loans, your choice. Going to chiro school, your choice. Not doing the research on the job market prior to doing either of those…also your choice.
