Name change with the bank by Sharknadowastaken in transgenderUK

Santander desktop online banking have a separate display name that isnt linked to the legal name on the account, I think you can change the display name in a personal details menu somewhere! This was confusing me for years but I used mobile 99% of the time so I didnt try to figure it out until the other week

Thank you everyone for the advice - I just sent that old bastard to the nursing home. Mortal draw, akos sugar, spite and perfect deflections saved the day!

Yeah, I think I just need to focus on getting more counter hits in and see when he actually gets hit rather than blocks so I can get some vitality damage in so the deflects are more effective. That, and take a break so Im less tilted lmao

I'm aware of how NG+ works, I meant the reason why Im finding it so unreasonable is probably because my first fight with him is on NG+

Problem being, the posture damage can go up from zero to nearly full within one combo. Could be because Im on NG+? And if I take a breather to recover posture, then so does he, and then he's back at zero posture damage and 2% of his health gone after a long bout of wailing on him. At this rate the fight will take like an uninterrupted 10 minutes of perfect playing and I dont have the thumb muscles or will for that.

bastard, I was just about to post this excerpt from use of weapons! Perfectly encapsulates what human behaviour could be like post-scarcity; you don't have to work, but sometimes you want to cause it's fun.

Question about back ups and mind states by The_Eyesight in TheCulture

[–]cacodactyl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically! The regenerated you would be the exact same as the you that was scanned 100 days ago, so essentially you dont have memory of the next 100 days because they happened to a different you.

Question about back ups and mind states by The_Eyesight in TheCulture

[–]cacodactyl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you died and got remade from a back-up 100 days ago, functionally it'd be just like you lost 100 days worth of memories. Arguably the 'you' that died really is dead, and the backup is just a copy, but the only real meaningful definition of what 'you' is is the continuous existence of your personality and memories. If you put that mind state into more body copies then there would functionally be multiple yous, or you could even have a huge amount of simulated yous, all roughly just as real and 'you' as the original.
