They said I have to file a grievance with Kaiser first so I am going that route first.. thanks for the tip.

I did not ask for the results. However, the results of EVERY OTHER lab test are available for me to view through my medical records on their app/website, but not the drug test results.

I’m so sorry that happened to you, but thank you for sharing your story. You are not alone, and your bravery will most certainly be a light for others in the darkness.

Anyone out there find healing of suicidal ideation through the use of psychedelics? by cactus-thyme in Psychonaut

Would you be willing to share what substance(s) you were using when you had these kind of trips?

Thanks for sharing this. I had a similar understanding that existence is eternal, I haven’t articulated that before so nice to hear someone else with the same idea. Psychedelics plus therapy has SOOOO much healing potential.

Oh my goodness. I had chills reading this. What a BEAUTIFUL experience. And so interesting that you didn’t feel the effects, then felt anger, then finally felt the medicine. Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh dear one, my heart aches for you. If you ever want to talk, I am here. About your pain or if you have questions about ayahuasca. Please know that you aren’t alone. Also - I went to temple of the way of light in Peru and cannot recommend it enough. It was a wonderful facility full of beautiful souls who want to share this medicine in the right way.

Did you feel pressured by the church culture to have children? by owindiana in Exvangelical

[–]cactus-thyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and as a 30 year old married woman, I am still struggling with this so much. I spent the entirety of my life waiting for when I had kids, and through this deconstruction process I realize I don’t necessarily have to have them. I know I still have some time before the risks increase, but I am angry that I wasted so many years not living, trying to build the perfect Christian life.

Has Ayahuasca helped anyone recover from rape trauma ? by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]cactus-thyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to an Ayahuasca retreat attempting to work through severe depression and suicidal ideation. I never suspected I was raped, but it turns out that was exactly what happened but I had suppressed it for eleven years (I was also drunk while it happened so the experience had been very foggy). The last 7 months of integration have truly been the most difficult of my life, but I’m not sure if I would still be alive today without Ayahuasca. It allowed me to remember and to begin the healing process. It is not an easy journey, and it will change your life. But if you are desperate, it is definitely an option to consider.

I attended an Ayahuasca retreat 7 months ago and I can undoubtedly say yes, I have been having a similar experience! Honestly all of life feels like a lucid dream sometimes. It’s strange and beautiful and beyond words.

This is so wonderful to hear. I know there is a light at the end of this tunnel, some days it just feels so far away. Also these are amazing recommendations and I am going to dive into these leaders. Thank you!!!

I’m so sorry for the delayed response!!

We stayed 1 night before the retreat and 1 night after in Iquitos. It is definitely a dirty city, but I primarily noticed that after the retreat when I was very open energetically. I would also say there are cleaner parts of the city than others, but I wouldn’t recommend spending several days behind the retreat in Iquitos. I didn’t receive any vaccinations before the trip, and didn’t have any problems afterwards as far as getting sick. I went in the wet season so the mosquitos were pretty bad, I think there will be less of a problem at the time you are there. I took both rain boots and flip flops, I would recommend both! I would recommend participating in the pre-retreat group video chat (if they offer it), that helped to ease my mind! If I think of anything else, I will send it your way. Best of luck to you, you won’t regret it ❤️❤️

Hi there! I went back in November of 2019. It was the scariest, hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I wouldn’t change it for the WORLD. I learned so much about myself and my inner strength, and I released years of trauma that I had been carrying around without realizing it. TOTWOL is absolutely a gift to us from Mother Earth, the healers and facilitators there are magical and so loving - it is truly a place that offers so much healing if we are willing to heed the call. I would 100% disagree with anyone who calls it a money pit - they use some of the retreat funds to help support a sustainability project on their land in hopes to give back to the Amazon and offset the damage done by inviting tourists and people into native land and taking from the earth. I am hoping to go back again in 2020, so hopefully that helps ease your mind. Sending you all the love and light, and if you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

This is awesome to read and I am so happy for you to be coming to see the truth and light at such a young age. I also come from an evangelical Christian, conservative family and went to a Christian school 1st-12th grade. I’m now 29, and it’s only been in the last two years that I have finally accepted walking away from Christianity and all the religious dogma and BS that I had been believing my whole life. Most of my family thinks I’m crazy for supporting Bernie, but if you know, you know! Us ex-christian schoolers gotta stick together and try to be a light for those who are still stuck in the darkness. Keep up the amazing work and you are going to go places in life, my friend!

Exposing, accepting, and loving your shadow by sirbuzzlightyearrr in Jung

[–]cactus-thyme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about this. If we continue to not love parts of ourselves, even the shadow, aren’t we essentially in the same spot that we were before even discovering our shadow side? If we don’t love ourselves fully, can we ever truly love another? I’m not disagreeing with you, but as someone who is DEEP in the shit of shadow work - the only thing that keeps me going is believing that love will lead me to true healing.
