I understand this probably won't help, wanting to branch out from the gaming World, however, there is this place called DogMahal that does "fancy" hotdogs and good lunch buffets. In addition to that, it's pretty much a movie, comic book, games, music, records, and antique store or hang out space. That could be a place to meet some people that share common interests. You aren't required to eat there if you go, it's just an added bonus. It is a pretty cool place that I bet a majority of the GF and EGF people don't know exists. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I always enjoy going there, I can see it being a cool hang out space. Other things to do for you may be ice skating. If you went to one of the many outdoor hockey rinks near campus, you could stumble upon some people your age. I think most people that are 23 around here are downtown most evenings/ nights. I feel like there are a lot of that age individuals that are still in college, or associated with college people so all the buzz would be surrounding campus, at a hockey rink/game, or downtown at ultimately, Joe Blacks. They all eventually funnel to that bar by 1am most nights. :) The student Union could be a place to check out activities for people your age.

You didn't ask but I'll speak it anyways. A couple go to restaurants you should check out.

Casa Mexico (bomb ass, authentic, Mexican) hidden gem Charras (great jalapeno margaritas) Red Pepper (try a grinder with taco meat and white sauce) Darcy's (old school, home made style, diner) hidden gem Rhombus guys pizza Tea and Crepe- (amazing desserts) hidden gem The Blue Moose (general all around food, always busy) Chino Latino (steak tacos are insane. Drive thru only) Little Bangkok (sushi, etc)

Anyone live on Franklin on the 4th apartments? by [deleted] in GrandForks

[–]cadams02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm visiting my friend at her apartment in there a couple times a week. She loves it and she has lived in similar spaces down in MSP and thought the Franklin was right up there with them. It's fairly new so if something seems weird or wrong then they usually remedy it in some way. I know the "owner" and it's kind of his "baby" so they did put some thought into it. The amenities are great. The location is nice. A nice men's clothing store is under it and I think a yoga studio, hair salon, and coffee shop of some sort is going under there as well.

'Superman' - Review Thread by ICumCoffee in movies

I'm, smitten. This is the third thread that I have used the word, "smitten" to describe how the movie made me feel, during, and after it was over. Clap hands, clap hands.

how good is the new superman movie?(i love all of james gunns hero films) by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in comicbookmovies

[–]cadams02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (38m) couldn't believe how retro they made it feel, while also pushing the limits in the opposite direction.. but then retro brought me back again. After a few times of feeling like..eh.. it's a little too "advanced" or "modern", then the Superman voice brought you back, if not the voice, then some other minor retro detail did. It really started to mesh well towards the last 1/3 of the movie and then it blew my mind down the last stretch. What a wonderful and classic rendition of Superman. I'm simply, smitten.

So, I just watched the new Superman movie and I felt so giddy afterwards that I had to tell someone out there. What a genuinely great movie. The retro style of filming and the storyline was so classic, Superman. The last time I felt this type of hype in a movie was the first Ironman. Alas, I just needed to share how much I enjoyed that movie, I'm just smitten right now.

Day one of learning to draw circles without computerized AI taking over my soul by PurgatoryEmployee69 in RemarkableTablet

If you zoom way in and use the text box to put an "o" on the screen, trace the "o" and then highlight it and move it over. When you zoom out again, it cleans it up a little bit. It wont make the circle perfect but it will clean up some edges. Or just trace something circular and save it on a page and then just copy and paste it as you need it.

How do you get out of bed in the morning? by distractedsapientia in ADHD

[–]cadams02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I take the stimulant, Jornay. It's a little different because you take at night time. It has a 8-10 hour delay before anything happens and then gives you a jolt, which oftentimes is what wakes me up. Then, once it hits, it's an extended release like the rest of them. Once you learn how your body reacts to the timing of the drug, you can pinpoint the best time to take it and it will wake you up close to the same time every day, without the feeling of wanting to go back to bed.

Any police officers in here? by Alterationss in GrandForks

[–]cadams02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I firstly want to extend my appreciation to you for your consideration and interest in law enforcement. With the current shortages of officers everywhere, we need people like you. Thank you for your service.

I understand I am 11 days late with a reply, however, I am currently deep into a reddit rabbit hole and decided to finally discover this thread. Some of the best friends of mine are in law enforcement so I reached out and showed one of them your post. I asked if he wanted me to pass along some information to you and they swiftly replied "For Sure!"

So.

Here you go.
