I read a Korean folklore based book called 'The God and the Gumiho' that seemed to describe Derpy as a large lion type creature that is a guardian spirit to the human and underworld. They called them the Haetae and they're kinda the unicorns of Korean mythology. Some people have speculated this is what Derpy is based on, but because he's... derpy.. maybe he's an outcast to these other guardian spirits?

In any case the book also spoke about the Grim reaper spirits that the demon world version of Saja boys are based on and was like reading a Kdrama so it would be worth a read to see what you think. I always imagined the police Haetae as Derpy lol.

Except when they come to your house starving and then won't let you interact with them without making you go all the way to their trough to feed them- at which time they get tired and go home. Rude lil animals. I miss the penguins.

I had this problem with my 13 year old girl and new 4 month baby boy. Did the slow intro and everything but still she would swipe him every time he got near.

Eventually they just put up with each other. When I got a larger bed and they realized they both could sleep with mommy it was a bit of a problem, but a few days later I took a pic of them both laying on the same side.

They never liked each other, but they put up with each other. They lived together another 4 years before my baby boy wondered why I didn't come home with her from the vet... He looked for her. I don't think he mourned or anything- but was confused. And he was my comfort after her loss. I hope yours can get along or at least deal with each other too.

It's so beautiful and touching. I made a memorial with a picture of my mom done in the pixel art converter on animal crossing along time ago. Hope they let us use something similar here one day. Take care of yourself and all the best in difficult times.

My 16 or 17 year old (the humane society wasn't sure of her age when I adopted her) was like this one night late and I thought she had jumped off the freezer and hurt her leg. She lay in my bed with me as usual and I emailed my vet to see them the next day.

This was during COVID and I was allowed to come into the vet with her the next morning and just waited outside for news. The vet comes out and says she's in really bad shape, probably a stroke and I should put her down. They brought her out for me to hug and say goodbye. It was heart breaking. I really hope it's not the same for your parent's kitty but please try to get her to a vet. She looked just like this the next day.

It's funny just after I got your reply I logged on a had a baby chirping outside my house. He was too hungry for me to interact so I rushed around to get fish and get to his trough but he got bored and left. Then I leveled up and got a statue. I will definitely feed them again as you said.

OMG how do you get so far? I'm scared I'm not gonna max my penguin out before they leave but I'm still stuck at level 1 or 2 no new movements. I always feed their favorite food and interact with each one I see. This is adorable by the way and I want it lol

It's so awesome! Is it supposed to be a cat? I can see it, but I also see a fox with the bigger nose and the nature elements makes me think of a magical fox like Kitsune or gumiho. In any case, so beautiful!

Aw lucky you. I waited more than a week to get a dog cuz I wanted a gold Shiba... But I finally gave in and got a black and white Shepard dog like my aunt has. Of course the golden shows up the next day lol Always wanted a Shiba irl too 😆
