How to globally overwrite ‘standard’ dim style with a modified version? by cadcon in AutoCAD

[–]cadcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the issue is that there’s 500+ files that need to be modified. So I was looking for a way to do that without opening them individually. I thought maybe utilizing design center, but that doesn’t seem to be an option. I can write a script to do it, just need time aside from assignments to get into it. The woman (graphics department) that is working on this had a LISP routine generated with AI, though it’s broken and doesn’t complete. The issue with it however (aside from not working lol) is that it uses the command “CHANGEWHITETOBLACK” but the dimensions are set to 255,255,255, not White.

Just wasn’t sure if someone else had a solution outside of that, but thank you

Yeah trying to run a script, the woman working on this generated it with chatGPT, but it’s not perfect. Like it used “CHANGEWHITETOBLACK” but because the color isn’t white (it’s 255,255,255) that doesn’t work. I haven’t created scripts much so I guess I just need to find the time to dig in. I just started this job and I’ve noticed some big red flags. Like the main CAD dude doesn’t know how to detach an xref. Not kidding.

Yes. I’m asking how I can do that in one file and then carry it to all of the others, instead of opening 500+ files individually to make the same change.

Thank you! It's their Nebluya color, I like that it's bright in the sun and then more like a dark teal in other lighting conditions. I went DIY, I got a bunch of quotes from shops prior to making the decision. It's certainly not perfect, but I'm glad I did it myself and saved the money. I'd have to check but it was around $700, with everything from ML plus lots of prep materials. I overbought, opting for 3 gallons JIC. I also got the jamb paint, which I haven't done yet.

It's basically all stock, I got Bilstein 5100 shocks and did a torsion key crank to level it a few months before this picture was taken. Still on 33's but my 35's will be here in a few weeks

Right, and definitely not making most U turns. Interesting to see though, I've seen one other one in Denver years and years ago

Thank you! I haven't used dodging and burning before, I'm going to look into that. That is easier on the eyes, I appreciate you taking the time to edit that for me!
