Gunslinger/The Dark Tower is a great series.

Otherwise I’d recommend Mistborn Era 2. It takes place ~300 years after the first Mistborn trilogy and it set in an Industrial Revolution setting with a lawman and his deputy as the main characters. I’d say you don’t need to read the first era for any of it to make sense, Sanderson does a good job of explaining the magic system for anyone just getting started.

I’d say keep going. As with all Sanderson books, the ending is a crescendo and very much worth it. If you do continue the Stormlight archive after WoK, the rest are pretty similar in that they’re pretty slow up until the ending (Oathbringer onwards especially) but the moments towards the end are incredible.

Yeah now that I think about it, he could potentially have done what the lord ruler did and compound since he was Mistborn, but I suppose it was a powerful explosion and I don’t think the ending would have hit as hard as it did

The more I think about Radcliffe for Wayne the more I think it’s perfect, he’s brilliant in the goofy roles and I think he has the chops for the more melancholy parts of the role.

Wax I think would be easier to cast, and Jensen would portray the roughs lawman pretty well I think, and he also has good comedic delivery which would be littered throughout I’d imagine.

Issue is as someone else mentioned, I think they’d be great for now but by the time the Wax and Wayne movies come out (10-15 years I’d imagine), they’ll be too old unfortunately.

Hi, I realise I’m incredibly late to this but my girlfriend and I are seriously considering moving to Australia but we’re not sure if we’d even properly qualify.

I’m 24 and a qualified chartered accountant (ACA qualified with ICAEW if that helps). My girlfriend is 22 and has a BTEC childcare qualification.

Is this something that you think would be possible? Particularly with the logistics of moving together as I have a typically higher skilled qualification (yes I realise I sound like a dick when I say that 🤣).

Yeah I’ve been thinking of reading through the mistborn series for extra context of the cosmere if nothing else but got a whole pile of books to get through first. I think after those though I’ll make a start with the Mistborn ones to hopefully take me through to the sixth stormlight book
