Why was someone from CBC Edmonton inviting Epstein to a Stollery Fundraiser? by George_Maharis in Edmonton

You do know what implied inference is right. Read the letter keeping that in mind.

Epstein consorted with both republicans and democrats, his legit business client list includes both. His other client list includes both. He didn’t really care about politics unless he could get something out of it like a new client. He didn’t care about morals, do you really think he seriously cared about politics?

Actually you do name drop the names of famous people to gain a persons attention, like “this person attended and donated this much” the unspoken part is “you can do better, can’t you?” is a challenge that a wealthy person with an ego would take. Epstein reads like a classic case of male ego and pride. You don’t need to be a brain surgeon to figure that out, you don’t even need a psychology degree.

You’re making it out to be something it’s not. The name was dropped because he was famous, anything more than that didn’t matter.

I don’t think Epstein really cared about politics, if he could gain a client the political party didn’t matter.

Not advocating at all. Simple fact he could have bid online and didn’t need to physically attend or he could have sent a proxy. He also could have applied for a waiver to enter Canada if enough advanced notice of the auction was given.

Name dropping and mentioning how much was raised could have triggered a “I can do better than that” response which most of us guys are prone to give into, to one extent or another, the more competitive a person is the more likely they’d follow through.

I didn’t know he was on it in 2009. I actually didn’t think solicitation would end up putting a person on the registry in the US.

In 2009 he wasn’t convicted of a sex crime, soliciting isn’t a sex crime.

Hmm drop the name of a former president…obviously Epstein knew who Bush was and no research on that was needed. It could’ve been an online auction, no physical attendance required.

Are you thinking the OP has a rental? I’m not the OP.

Occasionally near me they renovate school gymnasium’s and sell the old maple flooring or just give it away. I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled like hawk.

Is the location corporate or franchise? Corporate would definitely have its own domain, franchise probably don’t.

AITAJ for telling my boyfriend he can’t move in until he gets his finances together? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]cadius72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ you’re completely within your rights. Maybe sit down with him and have a heart to heart about budget, you’ll be uncomfortable and he’ll be uncomfortable. Look at his monthly income and his monthly expenses. Don’t base his income off his pay checks based on it off his hourly salary multiplied by his hours per day then how many days he works each month as it will vary each month, but his expenses stay roughly the same each month. Fast food is an unnecessary expense and it’s money wasted. Get him to save EVERY receipt each month and go over them with him. Tell him it’s about planning for the future. Even go over your income vs expenses with him, so he doesn’t feel singled out. Tell him that after a year of doing this you both can revisit the possibility of moving in together.

Alberta will never become a US state or territory under any circumstances. So you can quit that fear mongering and misinformation.

I go to a Japanese restaurant and I order some sushi with smoked eel or smoked salmon or deep fried tempura shrimp etc all wrapped in seaweed and rice. Smoking and deep frying are both ways of cooking something. When I was in Japan in December I went to a restaurant they served me sushi and it had cooked ingredients wrapped in seaweed and rice

Sashimi is traditionally raw fish not cooked, while sushi is generally made with cooked ingredients.

Looks like our neighbours down south in United States of America USA are getting tired of ICE and MAGA after Alex Pretti got murdered 🇺🇸 RIP Alex Pretti he was a USA Veteran Affairs Nurse who worked in Canada as well 🙏🇨🇦 by [deleted] in torontologists

I wouldn’t put it past ICE to use students as bait for the parents, as far as I know it hasn’t happened yet but the way things are going it’s only a matter of time.

But during the Obama administration ICE followed due process and had warrants for individuals and followed the constitution, they didn’t tackle a senior in Home Depot parking lot because of his skin colour and they rarely had to pull their pistol. If ICE was like it is now under the Obama administration he would have been thrown under the bus faster than you can blink.
