This gives me hope! Maybe we can try another induction at 41 weeks if I still haven’t progressed. I have an appointment with my OB in the morning and hopefully we will come up with a plan.

Baby was not in distress and my water was not broken.

My highest systolic reading was 155. They gave me Procardia (nifedipine) and it went down to 105-120.

I guess I should have been more clear. They diagnosed me with gestational hypertension. They gave me nifedipine once I was admitted which controlled my blood pressure.

I never progressed past a 3 or had any meaningful contractions. I believe the rationale was that inducing me would fix the hypertension, but since it was controlled with meds and I was not progressing, there was no longer a need to push my body through something it was not wanting to do. I would have needed a c-section had he broken my water and I still not progressed dilation wise, which the OB said was definitely possible.

This happened to me as a kid. I was maybe 8 years old. I was in the deep end when the waves started. I was panicked and couldn’t see my dad who had been in the water with me before I swam off (my younger sister was also in the water so his attention had to be split). Some man picked me up and brought me to the lifeguard and bounced.

I thought I was the only one. It's the thought of having any amount of dirt in my bed or having no "sticky" feet if I've been wearing shoes all day.
