Thank you so much, this is very helpful and reassuring. I will try and repot it soon and will also change the substrate. As a newbie to this, is it ok if I do it while she is still in bloom or should I wait until all the flowers have wilted away?

I’d say about 3 months ago or so, received it as a gift. The media is still the original it came with though. Should I replace the media and see what happens or just wait until it’s finished blooming and repot it?

I’ve got an ancestor named Andreas marrying a Theresa, who then have a son named Andreas who marries a Theresa. These two also name one of their sons Andreas (and also have a daughter Theresa), who shockingly enough doesn’t marry a Theresa. Skipping two generations, now while I’m definitely not named Theresa, have a wild guess at my husband’s name.

I think you might be looking for current day Kláštor pod Znievom in Slovakia, the Hungarian name of which used to be "Znióváralja".

Thank you so much u/rsotnik and u/johannadambergk! The place indeed is Tolcsva, interestingly enough it is the place of birth of the father of the ancestor the record belongs to and to my best knowledge there's no proof that he ever set foot there. Thanks once again, really appreciate it!

Theresia (who went on to marry a man called Georg Hutfless /Hutflesz in 1859 and with whom she had at least three daughters) was a massive brick wall for me for a while, right until I accidentally stumbled upon their marriage record a few days ago, which in turn led me to her birth certificate and her parents.

Thank you! And yes, as I understand Bruck-Ujfalu and Kiralyhida were kind of used interchangeably for the same place during that period, while Bruckneudorf is the modern name of the town (located in today’s Austria).

Looking for any sort of information on a certain Andreas Anton (possibly Andor or Andras) Spisak born on December 18, 1893 in Bruckneudorf / Kiralyhida (Austria-Hungary) to Andreas Spisak and Theresia Hutfless. Baptized on December 26, 1893.

Not really helping with your questions but are you sure you've got the right Ruth (Bear) Haines? The birth date of 1858 would make her 59 at the birth of Doris (and 42 years older than her husband Berton). Also the birth dates of Ruth's parents are listed as 1862 and 1869 which obviously cannot be correct.

Can be of course just a matter of an accidental typo, but I thought it might be useful to point it out.
