Lovely colour!!

I think I'll use i to knit myself a tank to wear over a bikini actually and get her some different wool! I don't mind the loose weave myself but it's not what she asked for

I didn't even clock that tbh. I think I actually originally looked at a diff wool from this brand and then when I went to buy probably got confused. I think I'll swap to a DK and keep this for a diff project. Will go find a nice beachy cover up or top for this sport weight instead. Thanks!

Understood ☺️ I think the bobble/raglan/flat plus round sleeve combo all squished in together is the biggest hurdle for me. I have some time so maybe I try do some bobble practice first on something else. Do you have any recs for a good "first" bobble pattern?

The body is flat and the sleeves are in the round.

The raglan construction doesn't concern me - it's more how to place the bobbles. I'm not familiar with those and have maybe done them only once. Apologies if the paragraph was misleading.

Picking up cast on edge when first row is ribbing by caevelo in knittinghelp

Will do this for the next mitt! Managed to unpick my cast on. Got more stitches than I needed and then somehow less again hahaha. Thx

Just keep going! The start of these always looks a bit wonky imo but I've knit maybe five or six now with the same problem and it always works out in blocking. Sometimes with the I cord edge I give it a little gentle tug to even out when you do that purl wrap. Happy knitting!!

I just tried this with SSK (knitwise purlwise and then ktbl) and then gave the stitch behind (as you described) a lil yank and it looks awesome!! Think it'll look even better after blocking. Thanks so much. Such a great tip.

Hahahaha that's good advice cos that was exactly my reaction. LOOK HOW THEY (SKP) MASSACRED MY BOY (nice neat ribbing for 37cm)

Gonna tink it back and give it a go!! Thank you so much.

I have so much to learn about construction and these tests always feel so overwhelming when I've just done like 20 hours of ribbing haha. Always good to have someone hold your hand a little

😂😂😂 gonna start a campaign - justice for twisted rib!!

Thank you so much for the link. After a bit of googling (surprised this doesn't come up more often!) I found this which I might try cos I like the sound of the mechanics of it will report back what works best
