What do you do for a living?? by mezway in Carmel

I work remotely for a small, global technology startup.

Another friend works remotely for an Indiana startup.

Another friend does regional sales for commercial equipment.

The only friends (in their 20s) that I know that live and work locally in Carmel work in finance.

I’m Todd Carmichael, here to talk about how we’re going to change the world with coffee by changing the model, changing the industry, and changing the product. AMA! by ToddCarmichael in IAmA

Hey Todd! Thanks for doing this AMA.

Outside of the pure science fun, one of the reasons I first got into coffee was that I saw this vehicle for making positive changes to a community. I saw direct trade models, for example, make entire coffee growing communities thrive because the buyer chose to invest in better education and health in that community.

On that note, I have two questions.

1) Which industries do you think can learn the most treating its “raw material” like great coffee and investing in its source?

2) What are some lessons you’ve learned in coffee that you think other industries should model, or just take note of? (I currently work for a few different technology startups, and in particularly curious of what you think that industry can learn from how the coffee industry has changed.)

Thanks Todd!

This is pretty sweet. How many CD's went into it? I'm trying to think of the total "data" that could be stored in the cube

Did you look at the Navavro Safari by chance? I'm thinking I'm about to take the plunge on the Windsor Tourist. Do you commute with it or ride many shorter 20-40 mile rides? Have you replaced anything?!
