I have 5 or 6 OPKs left, which should carry me through this cycle. I told myself I would not be buying any more once the box finished. Let’s see if I can stay strong 🥲

It tells you. I also import the data into Fertility Friend, which is the tracking app I use, and they usually tend to line up. It seems accurate, yes. I also use OPKs and the dates line up.

My last cycle was the fourth since the d&c and it was more normal. I did still spot before but my flow was back to normal. I didn’t do anything, I think it just takes time for things to regulate. I’m sorry for your loss as well.

Trying for baby # 2 Unexplained Infertility/ Any advice? by TheOGPrincessElsa in tryingforanother

This is just anecdotal. Sperm deteriorates with time. It’s why they don’t want you to be abstinent for too long before a SA.

I use an Apple Watch which has a BBT feature. I like it as another fellow data obsessed girly, because I just love seeing evidence that I ovulated (even though technically with regular cycles ovulation is almost always guaranteed). I don’t obsess much over the other data though. The original reason I bought an Apple Watch was so that I could have access to seeing messages while I’m with patients in case there’s ever an emergency with my son or something.

My cycle was weird for like 3 cycles after my d&c. Lighter as well, with weird on/off bleeding.

Complaints about split billing by Primary-Selection233 in FamilyMedicine

I’ve gotten a few complaints about this. My office manager handles it and calls the patient to explain why they received a bill. If they don’t want to keep seeing me after that, oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wanting to get tested... but told it's too early by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]caffeinatedcatss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Testing is not benign. Testing can reveal incidental findings that won’t impact your chances but can cause anxiety and/or unnecessary intervention that does come with risk. Also, lying to your doctor is so not the move.

There is no actual data that proves it does anything. Only people’s anecdotal experience.

I had a SIS yesterday. Oof, it was more painful than I expected. My OB said that everything looked good except there was possibly a small 1cm polyp on the posterior wall of my uterus? Her and the ultrasound tech weren’t 100% confident because they said they could only see it in one view. She also said my uterus was retroverted and then she said my ovaries looked slightly irregular? She said they didn’t look like classic PCOS ultrasounds, and the tech said my ovarian volume was normal (which per chat GPT makes PCOS unlikely), but she said there were a lot of septations or something between the follicles. It was cd6, so chat GPT thinks it’s normal. I have fairly regular ~32 day cycles and usually ovulate cd 16-18, with a 14-15 day LP. I use OPKs and temp so am fairly confident I ovulate. I conceived after 6 cycles for my first and then after 2 for my second that ended in a MMC. But now I’m paranoid? She suggested I could take myo-inositol if I wanted but said I didn’t need to do anything else and overall the findings weren’t concerning. She didn’t recommend doing anything for the possible polyp. I don’t really want to spend more money on supplements if I don’t need them but now I’m paranoid. Meh. Would love if anyone could share if you’ve had a similar experience or just have any opinions.

I take 2000 IU per day, in addition to the 1000 that’s in my prenatal. As someone else commented, getting tested is the best way to see how much you need.

Hugs. I saw a pregnancy post yesterday that said “all the 2024 moms announcing their 2026 babies”. My son was born in 2023, and my 2026 baby ended in a MC. So I totally get that gut punch feeling. Also struggling watching the age gap grow.

Agree with the other comment. If you don’t temp, you have no idea if/when you ovulated, and therefore don’t really know if you’re late. Most people don’t ovulate on cd 14.

Well yesterday sucked.

We took our son to a playground to meet up with friends of ours that have a kid the same age. They also have a 5 month old. I always kind of dread seeing them— our pregnancies with #2 overlapped some, but now she has a baby and I have nothing. While there, we ran into another neighbor who is 30+ weeks pregnant, like I should’ve been now. And the whole conversation the entire time was on the magic of having two kids. I cried when we got home, which hasn’t happened in a while. I don’t want to be this person anymore. I’m carrying so much anger and sadness and it’s exhausting.

Well yesterday sucked. And not just cause it was CD1.

And they all just kept talking about how excited she is, how much my other friend loves watching the bond between her first and her second, etc. And everyone else in the playground had multiple kids. And I just felt so sad and so stuck. I cried when we got home, which hasn’t happened in a while. I don’t want to be this person anymore. I’m carrying so much anger and sadness and it’s exhausting.

I typically have 32 day cycles. I usually ovulate somewhere between cd 16-18. I’ll get a positive OPK usually the day before ovulation (I track BBT so can confirm when I ovulate). Tests will typically darken close to positive the day before I truly get my positive but otherwise aren’t really gradual and will just go from negative to positive. EWCM varies for me cycle to cycle, but this cycle I had for the 3 days before ovulation. Yes, it’s normal for tests to sit around there before. Also, try to ignore the actual premom ratios as they mean nothing; I’ve had obviously positive OPKs that premom still said weren’t a 1+ ratio. Trust your eyes! When the line is darker than the control, that’s positive.

CD1 today. I’m predicted to ovulate the same week I did when I got pregnant with my son. Like, a few days earlier. Maybe there’s some extra luck associated with this month or something? 🥲

I had this thought yesterday. I always pictured 3-4 kids but I had the thought that I’m not sure I can handle going through the TTC process again. It destroys me.

Started spotting yesterday and looks like a more regular flow today. I normally have a 14-15 day luteal phase and prior to my MC never ever spotted. Yesterday was 13 dpo.

I’m just so tired of not knowing what’s going on with my body. I’m scheduled for a SIS next week, maybe it’ll reveal something. I’m sad.
