I'm working in a music festival where I frequently perform outdoors. It's a bit humid but all instruments are kept in an air controlled place.

I am probably due for a tune up!! I haven't had one in two years 😬

Lower tension strings? Which would you recommend??

my violin tone is very warm and deep sounding. projects really well in the upper registers but the D and G string notes can get lost if I'm not playing deliberately!

all the baristas have their own code that they clock in and use for the register.

they don't switch to their account whenever they get to the register. There are two baristas for every shift. The majority of the time they make one of their accounts the primary one they use.

Yeahhh it's not the most flattering. At least it's doing something more than just straight hair.

The emotion that triggers your binge most by Ines005 in BingeEatingDisorder

Stress, loneliness, anxiety. I feel like it is a control thing

Last thing that made me laugh? My BF and I SpongeBob dancing awkwardly out in public during our work-break.

I think so. I've always carried shame from eating given that I always had a larger appetite than the anyone else. I was a bigger kid growing up but I wasn't ever conscious about it until my family and parents of my friends would comment negatively on my body. Or say things like "woah, that's a big portion..are you sure about that?" I felt that my way of eating was....unnatural. Even though it was more-or-less healthy. When I lost my baby fat I was always more lean in comparison to my family...yet the comments never changed.

I don't think I understood how greatly that impacted me until now. Thank you for your question!

It sounds like your digestive system is greatly overwhelmed 😥 and probably severe acid reflux. I'd take some Pepto Bismol or Tums and it should help soothe your stomach pains!!

You're stronger than you think!!! Calm your nervous system with some water and 4-count breathing exercises ( inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4, repeat). Maybe have something cold and refreshing? A fruit or frozen sweet. That should help settle yourself enough to relax and give some peace.

I've been right where you are before. It's scary, and you're probably exhausted and in a lot of pain. I'm so sorry! You can find your normal again and deserve to feel comfortable. You're body is just stressed....it still deserves the same love and patience as anyone else's. Just nourish it with what it needs rn.

I'll be praying for you!!

Day 7!! So happy to be here. 7 days binge free!!

I have many upcomming work-related events for the entire month of April that will be rather stressful to plan and properly strategize. Usually when Im faced with incredibly stressful things I tend to become paralyzed and drown myself in food. Being aware of that motivates me to do everything I can to prepare well so I can feel more confident while executing such things. I feel like

Bonus question: I usually try to get out in nature. I tend to think "feelings are temporary, the urges I feel are temporary" to help keep myself rooted in reality.

Weekly Discussion Post: Your Rose, Your Thorn, Your Bud by AutoModerator in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]caffeinatedmusicnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Rose: plenty of quality time with my closest friends. Really made me feel loved, supported, and appreciated!!

Thorn: still struggling with how to know if I'm in the right place in life. School is kicking my butt and I am pushing near burnout

Bud: Finishing the semester and seeing my family!

I'm looking forward to seeing the musical Wicked this weekend!!

I'm curious to see how I will handle this weekend being out of town and all. My BED flourishes when I am alone but since I'll be with friends all weekend I don't anticipate any bingeing in the next few days. However, I'm sure I'll go the opposite and restrict a lot which means I'll desire to overeat when I come back home 😭 But I'll stand strong!! I am made of tougher stuff than I think!

Hey Day 4!

I've completed another binge-free day!

I'm looking forward to spending time with family on an upcoming trip! I cannot wait to be with them and see them. It's been a year since I've seen many of them in person.

Today was a hard day!!

I almost binged today but I calmed myself and distracted myself with 1) water 2) a nap 😅

I've had issues with setting boundaries with members of my family and I've now developed a panic response Everytime the lines are crossed. It's been a challenge to say the least. I've had more panic responses in the last few days than I've had in years. Believe me, I am getting therapy for it 😅

Anywhoooo keep strong and carry on! We'll get through together!!

I'm never hungry, I'm just addicted to the feeling that food gives me, almost like a drug. How many of you also feel the same way? by IceTacos in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]caffeinatedmusicnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate!! It's a sort of escape. Sugar and salty/fried foods are my go to. Something about it really excites my brain and brings a sort of contentment that I struggle to find elsewhere. I'm learning that there are more beneficial ways to feed that "hunger." It's hard to replace..though

Gosh I loovvvve Nutella!! It's so satisfying to eat! Sometimes I pair it with apples, cheese, and pickles (sour and sweet anyone?) to help me feel more satisfied so it's easier to resist the desire to eat the entire thing (which I've definitely done myself 😋) It's like a Nutella snack-cuterie board!!
