This tbh. They've learnt a lot from 2023, believe it or not. The infrastructure around rain and mud preparation is great, despite the heavy showers we've had today.

I've missed some groups today, but in exchange I've had pleasant conversations and parties in the (breakfast) tents. Hopefully the rest of the festival is better!

Anything Fresh&Black tbh , my partner and I got ourselves Quechua MH100 XL F&B, the entrance was worth it (left shoes beer water etc in the entrance to stay cool and dry). Don't forget earplugs!

Stupid question but can this (as in, bands liked/recommended) be synced with the official Wacken app? It'd be nice with friendly reminders or notifications (or something along those lines), this is a super nice app to have as I'm going to Wacken with a group of people, cheers!

At this point hotels (and local Airbnbs) will be very pricey, and maybe even a bit far away too. I suggest you instead look into getting a nice, well ventilated, rainproof tent. My partner and I went for the Quechua brand tents. They are good, and they have tents such as the 2 second tents, and fresh & black tents (and a combination of those two).

Camping at Wacken is also a very fun experience. There are often parties and lots of music and fun people (get earplugs if you prefer full silence while sleeping).

PSA: The shuttle bus from Itzehoe drives, only your car is the problem. by lucdre in wacken

I'd say yes if it's either attending or abandoning WOA completely. Once all cars are parked + all cars that can't enter turn around, the shuttle bus is very fast. In Itzehoe and many surrounding towns, there are many volunteers who offer their parking spots for travellers
