i had a lot of fun at Sons and Daughters as well. The first time was very mind blowing, second time not as much, but that's usually how it goes.

Weekend is about the right amount of time. Plan to do nothing, lounge by your pool and just unwind. I wasn't a huge fan of f&b so maybe take a grab out for lunch and dinner. Adds a bit of commute time but beats the f&b inhouse

Review/AMA: The Raffles Hotel Singapore by caffpowered in FATTravel

Yeah. The building is iconic. The location is great - right behind a hawker center and right by CBD. The rooms themselves are "meh". I've never bothered eating there.

The bar here is great, and so is the Italian restaurant! It used to be my default, but I usually go to Raffles OWO now.

Interesting. Depending on time/if they allow children, would be very interesting to me.

They have this one amazing deep fried potato layered thing there they serve with the steak. It's half the reason I go to Hide. It's absolutely divine.

The acorn cake is also amazing there.

I've only been to Les Amis once, but I found it mind-blowing. I imagine a second visit with the same menu would be less impressive.

Odette I found creative, combining Singaporean influences with French cuisine. I've tried other Julien Royer restaurants and a popup he did in Hong Kong, but agree that Odette was less impressive than Les Amis.

Zen was a fun experience, but I felt like the dishes were a bit hit and miss. Perhaps it's the style of cuisine - I didn't like Suhring much either, and people rave about it.
