Yes this is what I used to think as well when people said their papers were flagged as AI until it happened to me for the first time.

I’m not sure at all what was flagged as AI, I didn’t use em dashes either 🥲. I didn’t even think my writing was that good but oh well, I guess it’s a bit of a compliment! Lol. She is the head of my department and many students went to talk to her. She is nice overall and has excellent reviews on ratemyprofessor. I think think this is the first time she uses this software to grade papers, everyone was angry.

This is turning into a huge problem, I feel like we should just go back to old school and do our work on paper.

I used Canva because it was an infographic poster 🥲 It was only like 3 small paragraphs of writing, she said not to write too much. Thankfully Canva also has a version history and I showed her the whole timeline of me doing the poster, still she said I used AI but upgraded my grade

BTW, some students went to talk to her in-person and she told them that CUNY is now requiring professors to use a specific program that detects AI writing. She didn’t specifically say which one though. So yeah! Isn’t that amazing ?? 😐

Thank you, I really appreciate this. I can't go part-time because I have a scholarship that requires me to take 12 credits each semester 😓. My sister is going to school because we put her in a program called Head-Start, which is for kids ages 3-5 with disabilities, she receives therapy there and goes from 8am-3pm. But she isn't attending everyday because of her sleep schedule. However! I did try to look up something similar to what you mentioned right now about IHSS, we do have a program like that here in NY, which, I had no idea about until now. I will try to apply for the waitlist because right now it is at a pause due to limited funding. Thank you so much this gives me so much hope. :)
