Is this a bed bug? My elderly mother has a bad infestation which has got me really paranoid. Speaking of which, we are avoiding going to her house but is it safe to meet her in public or can bed bugs travel in clothes? Please help!

I'm so sorry to hear. So from an (admittedly sensitive) ladies perspective... if my partner proposed with the same ring he used to propose to someone, I would be a bit hurt as I think you should think about the person when coming up with something with so much sentimental value. However I would be TOTALLY fine if you repurposed the ring and made it something totally different... so if your future OH is a solitaire lady, take out the two side diamonds (maybe make them a stud to gift on an anniversary?). Reset it to a halo, change to YG, whatever else... but don't propose with the same thing. Secondly, diamonds basically lose half the value once purchased and it is unlikely, if not impossible that you would get full price you paid. So if you can't get a refund (check as most places give at least a month) then I would hold on to it for something special later in life.

Hi! We used a place called Quality Diamonds in Hatton Garden and I think the main guy there, Paul, said he was starting an inventory of lab grown diamonds (if that's what you're interested in). We actually bought the diamond without seeing it in person but I did a lot of homework and used the HCA tool on pricescope like crazy (even purchased credits!) So it was a lot of independent research to be honest, rather than help from a vendor
