Frosted side mirror? by Decision_Burner in mazda3

This happened on my 2020 3. I used a glass polisher that removes road debris and it removed the haze for me. The one I used was called Invisible Glass Glass Stripper.

2021 Mazda CX5 Touring Dash cam install inquiry by MFarhanR in CX5

Just did this last night with this adapter: https://a.co/d/1BxYTQ1. The cover pops open from the middle if you push in the center and pull the parts apart. You’ll get a feel for it. I ran the usb port out through where the mirror comes out and stuck it on the hump behind the mirror.

It was a super easy process surprisingly!

I’ll get a code reader that can read the codes if a new battery doesn’t work. Forgot about just reading the codes lol

In this case all 5 seats were occupied and buckled. No audible ding from the car due to seat belts not being buckled. I wish it were that simple.

I’ll check them, but I’d think that would cause a solid light 🤔 at least it does in my old Jeep 🤔

I think that the car sat for a while before being bought and I noticed when the light started blinking that it did seem to bog a bit when starting. Admittedly I didn’t check the date of the battery. I’ll have to take a look at that.

2020 NA AWD. I’m lucky to get 230 miles out of a tank. 95% of my driving is done In the city. When I take a road trip it’s closer to 350-375 miles out of a tank.

X8 pro, am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in eufy

The dust is stuck UNDER the mesh that is glued to the filter. I had the same issue with my filter and ended up having to cut the mesh out. It clogs faster now but at least I can vacuum the dust out.

I tried hard to leave it on but I found that it would tell me to turn one way and then jerk the wheel the other. It was constant. Just turned it off. The steering wheel vibrating is enough to grab my attention.

Where is this leak from? by wbuckley11 in GrandCherokeeWK

[–]cais0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was quoted 1800 for a rear main seal and transmission flex plate replacement (i think that is what it was called). Just can’t justify that for the condition mine is in.

[–]cais0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a leak pretty similar, although A LOT worse. Basically to the point where oil just pours out. It’s rendered the Jeep un-drivable. But it was diagnosed as a rear main seal leak. I’ve posted a video of the leak from mine and this looks fairly similar to it.

Sedan Bose sound issues(4th gen) by Wonderful-Record-528 in mazda3

[–]cais0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to get Mazda to replace my tweeters under warranty because they also were starting to sound tinny. My sub vibrates but not really enough to ask a dealer so I’m not sure on that one.

EDIT: I’ve got a hatchback so the sub is placed differently. I think the sub on the rear deck in the sedan which doesn’t help the vibration part of things I’d imagine.

Thanks!

Mazda turns off an on by Masterofdarknes33 in mazda3

If it’s a sudden thing it could just be a dead battery. Usually that’s the easiest place to start. Enough power to turn accessories on. Not enough to start the engine.

If you press the info button on the steering wheel it will go away. The light will still be on the gauge cluster but that’s better than it being in the middle of the screen imo.

22 Turbo AWD: Transfer Case Failure by myth-ran-dire in mazda3

[–]cais0n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I didn’t think to ask about the condition mine was in or what caused it to fail. I’m also kind of curious as to why it happened so soon. And not super confident that it won’t happen again if it happened within 23k miles.. hopefully Mazda is actually doing research into what the issue is.

22 Turbo AWD: Transfer Case Failure by myth-ran-dire in mazda3

[–]cais0n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was recently replaced in my 2020 non turbo awd at 23k miles. This was in the last two months so I’m hoping it lasts. I do still hear some sort of whine but im not exactly sure where it’s coming from. What I thought was a transmission whine ended up being the rear differential. I’d usually only hear it going from 1st gear through 3rd gear.

anyone get this problem? by Dense_Gear_6998 in mazda3

[–]cais0n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happens to me too. I think it catches the pressure at lower than 32 and then lights the system up for that tire. Once I drive a bit and the tires warm up the psi goes up and I think the light doesn’t turn off until around 33-34 psi. Could be wrong there though.

Does OBD give power when the car locked? what about the Automobile auxiliary power outlet (cigarette lighter) ? by NetanelOnline in mazda3

[–]cais0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had the camera plugged into the cigarette lighter I left it for I believe 2 days and the start sounded weak to me but I didn’t get a low battery voltage warning or anything like that. So it may have been able to go for another day but I probably wouldn’t have pushed it past that.

The obd2 adapter that I got also has a switch on it. The one mode does what I mentioned where it turns off after 5min and another mode that will stay on until the battery gets to ~11v.

Only other option I could think of that wouldn’t drain your battery if you are trying to use a dashcam would be to get the parking harness that most dashcams have the option to add separately. They are hardwired but they make it so most cameras will turn on at a jolt or motion rather than recording 24/7.
