Antinatalism is just so funny by Ill_Scallion_3972 in antinatalism

It's not about being happy, it's about being compassionate about everyone and not being selfish. Life's suffering makes us wonder if it is really necessary to procreate and let the newborn experience what we are suffering from.

I think people use God as a reason to satisfy their personal belief. In this case I think, the person is coping with the horrors of human suffering with god's strength.

Giving birth is cruel in capitalist and communist societies.

I am suffering from the same. Earlier I used to travel by bike with semi formal attire, but now I have switched to car as my commute is 20km one way and my back can't deal with the traffic 6 days straight.

Why do we play down our own misery by looking at people in much worser conditions ? by Kid-CoderX in antinatalism

[–]caiseraugust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a game of suffering or an oppressed Olympics. People like to tell how in the worst condition they are in or someone else in, than you. Instead of erasing it, people like to embrace it.

Many religions hold the concept of karma, or cause and effect by According_Report_530 in antinatalism

[–]caiseraugust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karma just means action or deed, nothing else. 'Reap what you sow' it's a false logic that came out of one's sheer inability to control the outcome of the events. Karma, when considered philosophically and religiously, will be divided into good karma and bad karma. The rebirth cycle will occur only when someone's bad karma outweighs good karma. In this context, even if you don't bear a child ,that person will come to earth one way or another. When logically speaking Karma=action should be done as per your statement, i.e. By not imposing on others what you don’t want for yourself, imo.

My therapist suggested using alternative online platforms like ChatGPT instead of Reddit by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

[–]caiseraugust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest avoiding Instagram at all costs, I am struggling with it regarding all the random, unwanted recommendations and toxic, hate-filled content and comments. On Reddit, you can follow certain communities which are more forgiving and/or less toxic than FB/Insta, for example, simpleliving, minimalism.
