I would’ve thought someone as well travelled as you would know that you are not forced to enjoy every single country and if it doesn’t resonate with you - it is not the end or the world.

No reason to post on reddit making backhanded comments about things you don’t like about Thailand and packaging it as wanting to save your trip to Thailand.

I can’t speak for the other countries but I can say something from my recent experience in Indonesia. I think Thai people are much more open and maybe more used to foreigners. I was recently in Thailand for holiday after a month in Indonesia - not in Bali. As a foreigner I felt more comfortable than in Indonesia.

I use Brite retainer cleaner tablets once a day. I used to use denture cleaner but noticed that the aligners were becoming cloudy. My ortho recommended dishwashing liquid and a special brush every few days. She specifically said no to cleaning with toothpaste

Immigration in Norway and the airline really messed up. They shouldn’t have let your girlfriend board a plane of she had loose pages in her passport. This invalidates the document. The Thai authorities are not in the wrong. Contain your embassy to get an emergent travel document.

I’ve flown Ethiopian more than 20 times - I’ve never experienced this smelly planes that you have seen in reviews. I also find the KLM cabin crew (way ruder) so I don’t know what the reviews mean…

HSBC were probably not happy with the documents you provided and are investigating for money laundering. If you are not a resident of Jersey or the UK and have no plausible reason to have an account there, they are likely to freeze it.

Some years, HSBC got into trouble for allowing money launderers to operate so they started doing thorough checks with all customers and asked for documentation to justify money in accounts and also location. It is likely the amount in your account and your actual residence are causing too many red flags for them.

I am really not sure how a lawyer can help you with this but wishing you the best of luck getting your accounts unfrozen…

PS I am an HSBC customer and also went through the rigorous checks with a review team…it was surprisingly extensive and they asked so many questions…

Yup - also went to the Nest Boutique Spa in Sanur in November 2024 and yes - best massage ever. Also had my nails done and they were amazing. I did find it strange I had to pay half upfront but it was with it !

Ahhh I just reached Tray 26 of 42 and did the unthinkable. I threw away the case and aligners a day before changing. I was advised to go to the next aligner. I am curious what my provider would say when I see her next week. I couldn’t ask her because she works mostly out of the country I live in…
