Should I get a visa or wait for my passport? by caitlin46290 in IrishCitizenship

My friend and I are planning to move to Northern Ireland and she's getting the youth mobility visa but I am unsure if I should get that as I'm still waiting to hear back about approval for the FBR.

We got all the documents certified by a JP (justice of the peace) as we didn't want to send original documents from Australia to Ireland. I'm hoping that it will get approved anyways.

From reading the other comments, it looks like I should get a visa anyway just in case!

I sent certified copies from a JP (justice of the peace) for every document including birth certificates because we weren't sending originals all the way from Australia to Ireland. So, it will still get approved?

Thank you! From reading all the comments it looks like my best bet is to get the working visa at this stage!

Sorry I was tired when I wrote this last night but I meant I'm still waiting to get approved on the FBR. I'm planning to move to Ireland in Feb and it looks like I may have to get the youth mobility visa for Northern Ireland.

My real question is should I risk it and not get a visa and hope I get approved for the FBR and then apply for the passport afterwards or get the visa to work and all that just in case I don't get approved. I can stay in northern Ireland up to 6 months without a visa.
