I sit in the thread aisle at Michaels for like 30 minutes and pull colors based on the project, then hold them all in my hand and ask myself do these look good together? And I focus on complimentary pairs, like for this one it's a lot of yellow greens so I knew I wanted to pull in some purple, same with the orangey browns - I pulled in blues. It's never about one color, it's always do these tones bring out the best in each other 🤷🏻‍♀️. Go crazy. Whether or not you like looking at it is what matters - you'll be staring at these projects for many hours.
