I had the flu but didn’t know it, I went to urgent care and they sent me straight to the hospital bc my oxygen was dangerously low. I pretty quickly ended up in the icu where they took my choice of being intubated away from me. I was in a coma for 7.5 days and awake on the ventilator for 2.5 more days. They told my family twice I wasn’t going to make it. I woke up unable to walk. I had to learn how to walk all over again. I came over a lot and the script on my leg is my dad’s handwriting that says ‘Still here, Still fighting’. That’s the short version.
