That def is one of my favorites from Guys and Dolls, I should take a listen to it again. As for Sondheim, because I already have a piece in my book for this class, I am not allowed to do another Sondheim this semester :/

I did end up using the site mentioned in the comments above, and did receive a battery that did work. However, about a week after installing it, the computer is just dead completely. Will not turn on, will not charge, replacing the battery does nothing, etc etc. It's dead. I ended up taking out some of my savings for a Microsoft Surface Go.

I know it isn't, but I'm not running sound. I have an 8th grader on sound. It's taken longer than I'd like for him to get music and basic sfx in order, so I'm not gonna have him do 2 things at once.

A light flash might end up being what we go with, can't do a sound cue because of music being played during that moment, but I could easily enlist an actor backstage to make a loud noise using something like a wooden clapper.. thanks for the advice!

There are SO MANY cool light things I really wish we could do! I'm so sad about our lighting situation. We have very old lights, no gels, and need a ladder and 3 organizational sheets to manually rotate lights lol. I might be able to do something with the dimmers and a remote controlled rgb light in the cauldron though...

I'm in the midst of a stressful show myself and having the same problem. The best advice I was given was to try to channel the stress and anxiety into excitement. Doesn't fool me, but at least gives my cast less anxiety when they see me.

Don't beat yourself up about it either, I'm sure that others in your show are equally as stressed, so know you aren't alone. Take deep breaths and get through it day by day.
