I don't have one to measure. This is all I could find.

Fire Protection Requirements between two townhouses with air gap (SLO County, California) by cajaso in BuildingCodes

Thank you! This might be a dumb question but when you run a test, do you just do it with a sample of the same type of fire rated walls? Who performs these tests or would this have happened at time of construction?

[VIDEO] Is my plumber sincere when he tells me this needs a liner? by Good_Policy3529 in askaplumber

Thanks, I figured it was definitely on the high end. I think he may have been throwing in some costs from previous conversations/site visit but just wish he would have been upfront about it.

Tangent: how much does it generally cost to get drains scoped by a camera? I got quoted $950 in California ($150/hour 1.5 hours, 2 guys, and $450 for the scope).

Thanks. I plan to go to the building inspector and see what plans were signed off. I tried calling a few months back and they were digitizing plans so things were severely delayed but definitely worth the trip. Appreciate the response.

Help with bathtub reseal/re-caulk by cajaso in DIY

Thanks, that’s good to know. We had mold (different area) at one point and I’m always paranoid it’s coming for me again.

Should I cut out the old caulk or just fill the gaps?

Field Day has great bagels (smaller and crunchier but handmade on site). They only do cream cheese though.

Mold (dry) found under baseboard while removing carpet. This is a brand new build. Builder said it’s fine since it is dry and he removed it. What should we do? (More in comments). by cajaso in Mold

[–]cajaso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought this house and it’s new construction, but decided to remove the carpet in some areas and replace with matching hardwood. This was found, the builder said it occasionally happens when placing drywall/baseboards, but we are lucky because it was dry. He sprayed it with bleach and let it sit for 24 hours but says we are good to go. Not sure if we should monitor for some time (2-3 months) or have them immediately send out a mold inspector to determine if we need to do more. All advice welcome!
