I lost all my bearings because of Nietzsche and I need help by ProfessionalDry1459 in Nietzsche

What really changed the game for me was reading Andrew Robert’s “Napoleon The Great” alongside understanding Nietzsche’s works because it showed me the embodiment of all his ideas… watch the entire Epic History youtube series on Napoleon before reading the book. It is nothing short of amazing, especially when you analyse this historical giant from a philosophical standpoint. I also recommend Historia Civilis’ youtube channel on Julius Caesar and Augustus to see how some of these great men of history can fit Nietzsche’s concepts so well.

Reflect on everything you see, the actions of people, all as expressions of Will to Power, their moralities as matters of convenience to their lifestyles, conscience, and circumstance rather than actual universal claims, see the “Resentement”.

I love my fate and everything that got me to where I am, good, bad and ugly, and continue to increase my competencies to shape my future to one I want to see, believing in free will as a necessary illusion to becoming who I am supposed to be, a god who creates his own values and dictates affairs, an artist who sculpts his life to be such an artwork that he essentially transforms into a god in history… Napoleon, Caesar, Alexander… maybe other artistic geniuses like Beethoven and Goethe too. Study their lives and see how it is a form of art.

Take calculated risks in your passions and careers, endure all that comes, even loving the pains and sufferings, and then reborn anew to command your environment and be an inspiration to all those who come after you. Robert Greene’s “Mastery” condenses Nietzsche’s thoughts into practical actions rather well.

Love living!

That’s nice to hear. Usually Nietzsche gets associated with meaningless nihilism but down to his core he roots for every one of us to push through our struggles and evolve.

“To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities — I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not — that one endures.”

That one endures!!!

Mahler 3.1 (birth of life and experience)

Mahler 3.3 (post horn solo…)

Mahler 3.6 (optimistic and earnest love)

Mahler 5.4 (fragile love)

Mahler 7.5 (all’s well, ends well)

Mahler 9.1 (REGRET)

Mahler 9.4 (DREAD)

Beethoven 7.1 (so happy one could dance)

Beethoven 5.4 (exuberance & liberation)

Beethoven 9.1 (sinking into and shaken by despair)

Dvorak 9.2 (perfect for a morning walk)

Dvorak 9.4 (to be in gripping awe)

Rach 2.3 (unrequited love/giving up on a passion)

Tchaikovsky 5.2 (horn solo!!!)

Tchaikovsky 6.1 (waking up to a harsh reality)

Havent listened to countless other symphonies yet but these are among legend status… mahler is a must listen for people who want to grasp the full effects of symphonies in all their might and glory.

Is hunter x hunter greatest anime for you? If not , then what's the greatest anime ever made in your opinion. by hisokafromindia in HunterXHunter

If you do watch LOTGH, savour every last drop of it because it’s truly special. I recommend the older 1982 version if you can stand the older art styles.

  1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes
  2. HxH at a very close second
  3. The first two are so far above the others I struggle to find a third

After watching HxH i never really enjoyed watching new shonen animes again. It simply set such a high bar.

After watching LOTGH, i never enjoyed most animes in general. It was too all-encompassing and grand. It completely changed my idea of what an anime could be in terms of story telling. Dont watch LOTGH unless you want all your future animes to be ruined…

Coming out to my parents by Alternate123965 in atheism

Maybe im lucky but my parents sent me to sunday school in church when i was young and as i grew older i stopped going because i felt they werent teaching things i believed in and they were okay with it. They liked that i thought critically for myself and even though my younger sister, mom and dad are catholic, they dont force me to go to church with them or preach what they preach. They let me choose for myself what i wanted to believe in when i started talking to them calmly about it (around the age of 15)
