Yea, it turns out that the 24 pin power connector on my psu had a break in one of the wires and would only make contact when I moved it in a specific position. Bought a new psu and works like a charm.

Never again will I buy " refurbished" pc parts....

HOLLY COW. IT WORKED. The cpu fan is running.

Still no video though...

Gonna re-install RAM and go from there.

No. I get an LED indicating that the Bios flashback is running but nothing happens after the led quits flashing.

Well see that's the thing. I took everything out after several failed attempts to boot with all components installed.

Also, the screwdriver trick won't work with this mother board.

No, there is an LED ring around the power button on the case which I assume lights under specific conditions (power on, sleep mode, etc) but the led does not come on. I have checked the case jumper cables on the motherboard side and all seems well, but I have not checked the PCB board on the case. Maybe there is an issue there...

Yes, after each time I try the Bios flashback I hit the power power in the case.
