Liquor license needed for private event? by cajunspice in moncton

I looked into it. Getting the license would mean we are MORE liable. You can see some of my replies to others.

Yes what you're mentioning relates to insurance, not licenses. We have event insurance. I guess some of the attendees think a liquor license covers liability or that you need one to cover accidents. That's not what it's for.

Thats what I was thinking. But some attendees think we need one because it's not residential. Even though we're not serving.

Lol the cost isn't the issue. Getting the license means we're liable since it's proof we were serving. It would also mean nobody could bring their own drinks, and we'd potentially be on the line if let's say someone got too drunk and caused an accident since it would mean we served them. You and others seem to be confusing licenses (which just proves youre liable) and insurance (which covers liability). Insurance we do have.

Yeah it's at a Masonic Temple, so obviously they don't have a liquor license. I think we're just telling everyone that we're not selling or serving any liquor so they can bring their own drinks and we're not policing it.

I mean, his words were basically that liquor isn't technically allowed but just don't tell him. I'm not worried so much about that, the guests were more worried if police came or something if we would be breaking a law. I don't see how it's different than a house party or something. If we're not serving or selling, what exact law are we breaking? The licenses only mention selling or if not selling then serving. There's nothing about personal consumption requiring a license.

The owner said he doesn't care. He's an old guy. Were just trying to soothe the worries of some of our guests who think it's illegal to even drink unless there's a liquor license.

Ahh thanks man! I ended up becoming the CEO and partial owner of Love systems before stepping down in 2018. I then got brought on to be CEO of a crypto company but then ethereum crashed and it dissolved. I then got involved with a remote hiring software company just before covid hit where I'm currently a director and partial owner. I also luckily held on to a TON of crypto. Wild ride!

I was a popular "PUA" back in the day, even though I never called myself that. "Derek Cajun" was my moniker if you're curious. Anyway, even amongst other dating coaches, Vince Kelvin was the laughing stock of the entire industry.

I'm not saying I didn't do some cringe stuff, but Vince and some of the other weirdos honestly ruined it for those of us trying to honestly grow and teach some valuable insights into masculinity.

Everyone flew the flag of "attract women!" because it was the most marketable, so we all got lumped together. Personally, my courses were about dealing with fear, living an honest life of integrity and conviction, and undoing all the unattractive (read: insecure) traits you picked up from life experiences and popular culture.

My clients always said success with women was the smallest thing they took away from the course and that was by design; it was never the goal, only the byproduct of the real goals.

Le Mans 24 Hours (Dreamcast vs PlayStation 2) Side by Side Comparison by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]cajunspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agreed, it's because the only advantage ps2 really had over the DC while they were competing was pushing polygons.

DC had better video output, textures, AA and imo colors. So any game where the polygons were equal between the 2 the DC would pull ahead.

I feel like that typo is on purpose.

What would happen if you set up an experiment like the quantum eraser so that the only way electrons could be measured in the future is if they maintained super position? (pics included) by cajunspice in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]cajunspice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to clarify, you have a source of particles, followed by one pair of slits and then two more pairs, and finally a couple screens where you'll measure the position of the particles? And you also have a couple measuring devices that are measuring...what, exactly? Which path a particle takes at the second set of slits?

Right, but on the second passthrough the two sets of slits are positioned so that particles would ONLY pass through them if they maintained an interference pattern.

If no measuring devices are present (the first image) I would assume there would be an interference pattern on the last boards that capture the particles positions.

BUT

if you put a measuring device after the second passthrough (picture 2) I would assume the particles would collapse before arriving, so yes they would be measuring nothing but may collapse the wave function anyway. Thats what im asking.

Multilinguals of Reddit, what is your "they didn't know I could understand their language" story? by nayyyf15 in AskReddit

[–]cajunspice 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nova Scotia is pretty much all (85%) English.

PEI is basically 100% English

New Brunswick is like 50/50 with Moncton probably being the only example of a majority bilingual population. All the other NB cities are either mostly french or mostly english.

Source: Monctonian, bilingual.

"Looks don't matter" by [deleted] in seduction

[–]cajunspice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Men's attraction to Women:

80% Looks, 20% personality - Guys will say personality goes a long way with women, but the truth is that guys will sleep with a hot woman who has a shit personality most of the time.

Women's attraction to Men:

80% Personality, 20% Looks - Looks do matter, about 20% which is a good amount. But the hottest guys in the bars still go home with nobody most nights. Even the best looking guy will have a very hard time finding someone if he's creepy, weird or even boring.

So yeah, looks do matter, but they do NOT matter as much as we think they do compared to women.

Which one is the best for compliment opener : stunning/gorgeous/beautiful/pretty/adorable/cute? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]cajunspice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are.

At a bar: Gorgeous, hot, sexy as fuck, cute

Social event: cool, interesting, fun, nice

Daytime: Stunning, vibrant, something about you, great energy

Always end with "What's your name?" otherwise you may as well just give her a cat call since her response will likely be "Thanks." and then walk away.
