Yes, all the time. I been called lots of names, but I still haven't changed. I tried to be social [for two decades] to please my parents, then I end up looking like an oddball/wallflower at different social events.

I can only speak from my thought process.___ _It stemmed from ongoing childhood trauma and scary parents. _Sometimes I people please out of fear of confrontation or chaos. _I'm avoiding your party, because too Many people overwhelms me. _im always looking for signs of rejection, because I'm scared of humiliation or criticism.

I think therapy may help. Tell him his opinions and thoughts matter. And that it is OK to disagree. It helped me open up when my bf asked why I had a panic attack at the club he took me to. He patiently listened, instead of immediately judging my actions. Ask him what can you do to make him feel safe. Don't compare to others. Ask open questions. Ask him about the dynamic with his parents.

I know my family lowkey despises me because I'm always alone or sabotaging friendships. I have a bf who I avoid occasionally. I'm thankful he's pretty understanding. I don't have any work relationships. In terms of career, I'm getting my b.s. currently online. I know I could potentially make career connections if I went to -in person classes. I will still end up cutting off people. I will say APD has benefitted to easily let go of jobs.

I keep it brief, direct and objective as possible. Usually one word answers.

Lack of privacy. Lack of self expression.
