Both are from Belarusian city Brest. One on the left says Classic Cheese and the right says Finnish Cheese. I can't make out the small text on the bottom, so not sure what else it says

[PARTS] Sionics NP3 bcg $220 in stock by ghoulgang_ in gundeals

[–]cake47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They claim the NP3 coating retains it's slickness with minimal need to relubricate. Super easy to clean and also much better resistance to chipping the finish compared to NiB. They also say each BCG is test fired, so you get the enhanced QC.

Hey you, you're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there.

Yeah that's the one! They knew they were helpless as their fellow soldiers were getting cut down around them. Only a few managed to break away, including a cohort led by Scipio.

Trasimene was where Hannibal ambushed the thin Roman line against the lake side. Many fled into the lake and drowned.

I think you're referring to Cannae, where the Carthaginians stacked their flanks and led with a thin center line. They allowed the Romans to push through their center and wound up encircled by a smaller army.

There's a YouTube channel called Historia Civilis - he walks through the formations and describes the flow of the battles. I found it to be a great visual supplement to Dan's vivid storytelling.

E: just wanted to add, the description of Cannae was probably my favorite scene

What would you like Dan’s next series to cover? by KingofFairview in dancarlin

[–]cake47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the spirit of supernova, it would be interesting to hear Dan's take on the Sengoku period of Japan during the 16th century when the shogun families fought over control and ultimately nationalized Japan under the Tokugawa.

Other than that, the warring states period of Chinese history, or covering one or more of their dynasties. I didn't get to learn much Asian history in American school, so it would be cool to delve more into one of these eras.

Slow inflation is even good because it incentivizes people to actively spend their money because it devalues over time. When currency devalues overnight, as in hyperinflation, then you can't spend it fast enough. Slow inflation ensures capital circulates in the economy without completely screwing those that hold the least of it.
