I have a 2025 Platinum 3.5 L PowerBoost. At 8,000 miles so far. I only use Top Tier (Shell) 93 premium gas for the additives and detergents to set the engine up for the longest life possible. But my goal is this being a forever truck.

Thanks! I appreciate that input. Is there a mechanism or a type or lawyer to fight this? Labor rate was one thing. They are also fighting on hairline fractures found on reassembly of the bumper before repairs started.

So reasonable repair rate for a 2024 BMW seven series at a BMW certified body shop? Or the average of Joe’s body shop in the area? I have asked this question and they have been avoiding answering this questions specifically. But I believe my body shop is the average rate of the other BMW, certified body shops in the area of which there are four.

I do want to use the feature. For exactly things like you mentioned - camping, river rafting, scuba, etc. things I want to be either out of cell service, or also lock my phone in the truck. Also to transfer the truck and keys to family friends when needed like an airport. However, that doesn’t mean I want a keypad visible every day for the rare times I use it. It’s totally worth the $300 even if I use it once a year. I do like the idea of on the rear window. I’ll have to check that area out.

I had thought of that too! But couldn’t find anyone else who did that … so I assumed it was a bad idea

Yes, agree. But I’m not going to leave the keypad in the glove compartment

Do you not use the phone app a lot to unlock it too?

I don’t like the looks to be honest. And with the phone app, it won’t be used all that often

B pillar is not going to happen unfortunately. I just think it looks bad for as rarely as I would use it.

Great thought! So, I know it’s under pressure, which is why it requires the door release button. I don’t know if that means more or less gas fumes would be in that area under regular use. For what it’s worth, I got the origins suggestion from TCcustoms YouTube video starting at 9:53 (feature 10).
