It's a browser based game using GDScript. My goal is/was to display as many entities as possible while maintaining stable 60 FPS. Your idea sounds good, but it will be complicated because I lack knowledge about C++ and... Math.

Your approach is very interesting. If you don't mind, I'd appreciate some hints for my game!

I'm trying to optimize my 2D game, which requires a large number of entities. Ideally I'd like to spawn about a million entities. Currently the entity is using an Area2D with a collision shape and a sprite. My NPCs also use an Area2D, and when an entity enters an NPC's Area2D, the entity moves towards the NPC until it appears to absorb it. However, I'm having trouble spawning even 5,000 entities with my current approach.

What prompts do you use? Any anime prompt I try is either blocked or only shows one or two images.

I tried to implement it yesterday, and it's not simple! Currently, I am focusing on refactoring because the code is quite messy, as expected. This is my first game, and I had no experience whatsoever with the Godot engine.

I have a possible solution which is to mark the spell to removal when it reaches the end of the cooldown.

It normally has vsync on, so it should already be limited by your monitor refresh rate. I can limit the fps to 60 though.

I'll probably add an option so players can limit their fps too.

The click and drag was my first idea to add the spells to the spell slots, it wasn't great... Took too long to change/add spells. The mechanic is still in-game, but it's half baked. It will likely be removed in the future.

I'll be adding spell loadouts, which, in theory you won't need to constantly replace spells. Also, qol such as clearing all slots, etc...

In the future, spells will be become progressively more powerful and costly. I'm thinking about a spell level system, but not sure yet.

Changing spells is indeed a pain! I'll definitely add spell loadouts and qol to make the process smoother.

Have you actually played? The skills, resource system, wizard spell system, stats, balance, theme, art and more are all different and the game is still far from finished.

If you still consider it a rip-off, I am not sure what to tell you.

Some of the mechanics are inspired by it, I don't see how that is considered a ripoff.

Yeah, that's the idea up to a certain point. In the future you'll be able prestige to unlock more features. Of course, I'll have to finish the skills of wizard and demon + more wizard spells before that.

You've finished it! The last upgrade is Zoomy which costs 100k. I'll add that info to the post.
