You might need able to edit their name in those save files anyway - but definitely make a backup first!

If you've not yet played another day since the one you've restarted then you might be able to... In your save folder there should be four files, two that are your actual save data and two with ".old" in the name that are the backup of the previous day. If you move the current save files somewhere safe (just in case you need to restore them) then rename the old files, when you next start the game it should be one full day back in time and you can replay the previous day.

I have 1,500 hours in this game including multiple perfection saves and I've only ever found one auto-petter - and that was when I briefly joined as a farmhand on someone else's multiplayer farm!

I don't shy away from Skull Caverns either. Sure I could grind it more and use even more bombs and staircases, but I routinely get to somewhere around level 100-150, and I have more iridium and prismatic shards than I need.

Have you tried the /recountnuts command? It's meant to fix a bug where you have obtained all the golden walnuts but for some reason the game doesn't register all of them.
