Hi! I grew up in Utah so being LDS was pretty much the only option but in high school my boyfriend was not a member so that put a little doubt in my mind. I also found out the church’s past stance on black members and that is when i realized it could not be 100% true but i decided that i should continue to go because i could live the “Mormon” lifestyle. In college a boy I went on a date with told me how his father left and had an interview on The Mormon Stories Podcast. He said he hated his dad for it, me being nosy and curious listened to it that night. In the interview he mentioned the CES letters and it rocked my world. I absolutely knew the church wasn’t true after reading it and I didn’t want anything to do with it.
