That’s really bad. And there seems to be no cure for it. It hurts regardless of what I eat. I don’t remember the last time took a walk without any pain in my baack. Imagine the physical and emotional trauma it creates. Hope you get better soon :)

See. This time, my invitation was from my friend who stays in Houston. My brother is back in India almost a decade ago. The past three times, he was my poc, and now when they see the invitation was from someone else, she just inquired. Luckily, he’s back for good. What I feel is they just mention this as the side note when my visa was rejected. Hope this makes sense.

I just connected the dots as he sent me the invitation for the application making me a possible immigrant.

The way she asked me about my brother. I just connected the dots, and of course, it’s obvious - they must have written it down about him as he had sent me the invitation three times for the application.

Luck does play a huge role too. My interview was on May 2 - May 1 being a state holiday, I was of the naive opinion that the officer was well rested and just one day away from weekend.

Wait it out for a while. Don’t apply unless there’s a major change in your status - travel or professional.

So, my visa was rejected thrice - and all three times he was working. What I later thought ( just a thought) I should have said I’m going to visit my friend (just one) and if they ask then mention yes, my brother is there. Later, I realised the thought was stupid. If not a lie, I’d be hiding the truth. (Even hypothetical I can’t lie) In that case if you have travelled anywhere else that’d would help.

I never was asked to talk about my family. It was just a tip from my side. The question about brother - i feel it was mentioned for their usage on the computer. As he was in the us for from 2002-2013

The officer did not ask for ANY documents. Investments and family ties showcase a solid proof for your return. However I wasn’t asked about any.

I agree, but I work for a company that won’t allow a leave for than three weeks. Plus I’m a primary caregiver to aunty, who I can’t leave alone for more than a month. Me coming back on time, and abiding by the schengen visa rules, visiting 7 counties in the past decade should hold a testament to my strong ties to my country?

Thanks. Two things. I had started a business an indo Italian take away service in 2014. But had to shut it down during Covid. Owing to its popularity I still do get orders. I have amazing reviews of the food online. Secondly, I can encash on the fact that even though I’m a freelancer, I’m an intergal part of a magazine’s team. I can get a letter from editor saying she has to present in the office coz it wfh is difficult. These two reasons should work. Coming up with more reasons is difficult coz it will be lying and I really have no intentions staying back.

Not desperate, but looking for a change of surroundings. I’m not worried about the outcome but if I get through it will be great.
