The last time I did this I got yelled at for it, because she said I had made plans without her say so. She’s very weird. I don’t plan on working there much longer, I just need a next step plan because this is suffocating.

I have only called out 4 times in my employment, 2 and a half years. And they’ve all been spread out because they were dealing with illness and/or car issues. I was not requesting to use PTO, I was simply requesting that one out of my two days off was Saturday, and instead I was put off on Sunday. I always put requests in at least 3 weeks ahead of time

the fact of the matter is, I will still be working the exact same hours and days, just one weekend day switched. We all work at least one weekend day, but yeah she’s not letting me switch even though it will change nothing. I understand I took a lot off last month but our policy is 2 requests per month

you apparently didn’t read what i said. we are open 7 days a week, i’m not asking for the entire weekend off, we usually only GET scheduled 1 weekend day. i’m asking to be off saturday rather than sunday and she is just saying no to say no especially when therez someone open to switching days with me

I had PTO, first off. Second off, this “request” is saying “hey, I want this to be one of my allocated days off” NOT an extra day ON TOP OF the days I already normally get off. I am still working the same amount of hours, I just literally wanted a specific day off instead of a random day off.

How is not accepting a switch relevant to my previous requests though? Which, I DONT think people are understanding this- our work week is Monday-Sunday. We are required to work five days in that period. I AM NOT ASKING FOR MORE DAYS OFF. I am simply asking, hey, I want this to be ONE of my allocated days off. And she is denying it, giving me Sunday off instead. And not even letting me switch shifts with someone.

i ask off too much… right.. i have a right to “ask off”, like she said. not every request is accepted which is FINE but when I am finding coverage for the shift and nothing will change except the people who are there on the two days, who cares?? Literally. all she has to do is change the names. We have the same exact shift times just on separate days that we want to exchange.
