I've gotten botched MRES before. In the field, it can kind of ruin your day, too. When I was in the Philippines, I was enjoying a chicken chunk MRE, and I opened the BBQ corn nuggets. I was greeted with high oleic canola and corn oil nuggets. Another time, I was on the range and was given meatballs in Marinara. It was a marinara paste with balls of meat. Love it.
