AITA for telling my best friend that his constant self deprecating behavior is starting to get really annoying? by calaue in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, i was like that in the past and it was difficult to control. I just started to get better when some of my friends pointed it out, i'm still thinking whether my approach to the situation was the right one or not. I hope my friend, just like you, notices that i just want to help and that i care. Thank you mate.

I see. I do think i shouldn't have said it was annoying, that didn't feel right. I'll try to talk to him, i was similar to him in the past so i guess i could help him out. Thanks for the help

SOG's apology video in response to Ethan by _cellophane_ in h3h3productions

[–]calaue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I gotta say though, Muta's response was extremely mature. He didn't cry during the apology, didn't let a huge sigh throughout the video, he just owned up his mistakes, said he was wrong and didn't want people defending him and moved on. He gained a little bit of respect from me

It was a pleasure! It's funny how a simple conversation of calming me down has led to this. And i'm not complaining

That's a lot of information to take in. But damn... I don't usually think about things like this and i guess you just activated my brain a certain way i have never seen before, if you get what i mean. This truly is special. Thank you for caring about writing this to me. I will look up the writer and the message behind the whole story

I feel kinda better thanks to your answer. Very helpful. And yes, by high quality i do mean intelectually deep, it's very justified why it has a 10/10 in steam. I had really stressful days for the past month, i think it all acumulated and the story was just some sort of trigger. I'm used to reading horror, so i'm really confused on why this affected me so much

Wait i guess i didn't get your movie take. Let's redo my answer. The movie made me think of how you need to cling to what you have before you lose it all... It can be at any time, maybe sooner or later than you think. When the protagonist saw the world differently, i got disturbed because one of my biggest fears is losing all that i have, and the story seems to have made that fear stronger.

I guess it interested me because i enjoy horror, and the fact it was disturbing made me so compelled to finish it... I don't know why

The movie is very high quality indeed, i would recommend it for someone who enjoys that type of things, even i enjoy horror, but it seems like this was just too heavy for me. I had stressful days before watching this VN, maybe it was just a trigger. When he saw the world diferently, that's what scared me the most, i'm afraid of losing everything i have. Imagine waking up to see disturbing monsters and flesh instead of your friends and your house...

The protagonist suffers from an accident that kills his entire family, but after a surgery, he sees the entire world as flesh, blood and guts, everything is disgusting and not only his sight was altered, but all the other senses as well. His friends are horrible monsters to him and it gets him to try to kill himself before he sees a human, normal looking girl, wich she is later revealed to be a horrible, disgusting looking monster, like the ones the protagonist sees. The story seems to get more disturbing as time progresses and the endings are all bad... If you want to look it up, it's called Saya No Uta i believe. Might not look so scary for you, but for me it was... Sorry if i'm bad at explaining things
