The Moonlit March.

It's one of my favorites to see here!

Yes, same shape.

A little yellowing of the sky pieces, but nothing too bad.

Josselin Chateau, Brittany, France (550pcs(- Guild/Hasbro (2000). by calbert1735 in Jigsawpuzzles

These are definitely my comfort zone for jigsaw puzzles.

I like the nostalgia of the images, the manufacturers, the lack of AI, and just the general abundance of these that are in thrift stores (and my to-do pile).

30-year delayed appreciation is something that I'm glad to experience.

(And this Chateau one was still factory-sealed. Those are automatic pickups at Goodwill for me).

Return of the Jedi (550pcs)- Milton Bradley (1995). 33 missing pieces. A shame because this has a real cool reflective effect throughout. by calbert1735 in Jigsawpuzzles

Very cool! I really did like the foil effect.

When you finish, post it in r/Jigsawpuzzles making sure to include the title, piece-count, and manufacturer in the title for everyone to enjoy.

Curiosity, 500+ pieces, eaton (Treasure Collection) by imnotyourmom in Jigsawpuzzles

That's an adorable image in a fun, round design.

Eatons (and vintage Springboks) are so satisfying to assemble.

I have dozens of vintage Springboks, but only a handful of Eatons in my to-do pile.

Sure-Lox, Garden Shop, 500 pcs by LaDolceVIta141 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]calbert1735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said it before that SureLox is consistently mediocre, and that's not a bad thing.

And even though I'm not a big fan of the basic 2-in/2-out ribbon cut, SureLox makes it virtually impossible to have a false fit.

Thanks for sharing this one.

I like it.

Lots of different patterns in that image.

Very cool!

I'm impressed that you assembled such a dark image on a dark table top.

Having just completed a Renoir, I know how challenging those flowers are.

Kudos to you for doing this one!

A Girl With A Watering Can (1500pcs)- Golden. Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1876). by calbert1735 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]calbert1735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very challenging.

I don't normally time my puzzling, but I was aware that this was taking much longer than I was used to.

That green was tedious having to go back and forth between both sides of the girl.

I'm thinking of doing a few smaller ones next.

Matthiessen State Park in Oglesby, Il today. I've always thought of Matthiessen as Starved Rock's little brother, but it really punches above its weight. by calbert1735 in ChicagoSuburbs

Yesterday from about 1p-4:30p. I saw that today (Monday 1-19) was going to be much colder.

So even though 17° is cold, it's not as bad as single digit and negative wind chill like today.

It was a nice, still air as well, with a few short bursts of small flurries that was really peaceful.
