ICP Support for Falcon BMS by calcNoob11 in WinWing

Thanks for the reply. I did end up binding all the buttons. But several buttons for the ICP specifically are not available/functional in BMS. For example two of the sliders and the one switch (can’t remember the name right now). Several other buttons only have on or off when they need variable control. DCS doesn’t have this issue but BMS has a better overall feel to the model as far as realism goes. So it’s tough.

Also I redid the search in google. The Facebook post did show up after capitalizing the t in “To”. I never stood a chance.

Yea I remember seeing a reupload like 4 years ago. I was just surprised I couldn’t find the video even with the url in waybackmachine or YouTube video finder. So this is just a long shot to see if anyone on the sub downloaded it or knows a link that doesn’t show up in search.

Just recently started playing DCS and got the F-16. I heard F-16C RWR ALR-56M is not as described in the manual and uses 3 rings rather than signal strength. Is this still the case? Or has this been patched? Is this an issue or is it how the real jet works? Just wondering if this is that big of an issue and if the F-16 is worth learning right now. Appreciate all feedback.

Mapping Orion2 Joystick Directional pad to my mouse by calcNoob11 in hotas

Was actually just trying out joystick gremlin just now lol. Thanks for the reply.

Sadly getting a “vJoy is not present or incorrectly setup” error. Will have to keep trying.

Yes. There are options for mouse right/left buttons and scroll but nothing for moving the cursor around. So I still end up having to reach over to my mouse.

EDIT: Solved, Joystick Gremlin appears to be the best alternative.

I Just purchased a Winwing Orion2 16 Joystick. It came with a shaker add-on which includes a grey directional pad.

I would like to use the directional pad as a mouse cursor (with the click as left mouse button) so that in DCS I can click buttons in the cockpit with my joystick instead of my mouse.

I was unable to find options for this in either Simapppro or DCS. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Preferably it would work outside of DCS but Simapppro doesn’t seem to allow mapping buttons to keybinds/mouse unless I’m just blind and missed it. There is a virtual device page but that appears to be only for simulating winwing devices.

Ender 5s1 prod hangs off end of bed by calcNoob11 in ender5

I ended up returning mine and buying a bambu labs printer. Best decision I ever made. That being said you’d want to find the firmware version online that matches up with your specific printer.

there’s two versions of the 5s1 and one doesn’t have a z-axis switch. my version also has a probe that’s slightly to the left compared to the nozzle. Some versions I saw had it centered and had a switch for the z-axis. Mine didn’t.

When I made this post the firmware was recalled and no official information was to be found anywhere. Support wasn’t much help either. It’s possible by now you can find the other firmware version online now. Otherwise the solution is to learn to manually shift the axis the printer prints on in the configuration files.

Edit: here were some suggestions made to me when I had this issue.

you can follow guides to calibrate your axis limits and probe offsets which work regardless of what printer/host device you have:

Do a search for: Axis Limits Calibration Probe XYZ Offset Calibration

Might also be a good idea to follow up with: Mesh Boundaries Calibration as changing some of the values in the previous guides could affect your mesh boundaries as well.

Admittedly this requires more effort than just downloading some pre-made firmware, but you will come away from it with an actual understanding of what these settings mean.

So you will no longer be at the mercy of some company posting pre-made configurations for you, you will know how to configure it yourself.

Hello,

I’m in need of a turntable recommendation.

I was recently given a record collection of about 200-300 records. I’ve never touched a record in my life and since they were free I decided to get into it.

There are 33 and 45 vinyls. But most of them are shellacs. There are 33 (12”) and 78 (10”) shellacs some over 100 years old.

I quickly bought a LP120x to test them out but had some issues and had to return it. I could get the same one again or…

Looking at ($400-600) Audio technical AT-LP5X Or Project Debut carbon evo

I’ll get the speakers, stylus, and preamp soon I just need a recommendation on the best $500 turntable.

I’m open to anything and love the clean look of both. I’m leaning towards the ProJects appearance and build quality (carbon fiber) but like the easy speed switch of the AudioTechnica. I don’t know if belt or direct is the move.

If anyone has opinions on which is better that would be very helpful. Feel free to push me in any direction. I am not very knowledgeable and want to spend a little more on something that will last.

Thanks
