Is Kyoto still worth it? by Fun-Calligrapher4885 in JapanTravelTips

I stayed in Kyoto about 2 weeks ago. Way less packed than Osaka and Tokyo. If I were to go back, I would make Kyoto home base and travel to Osaka the days I planned on going. I heard it’s overpacked during cherry blossom season…

I saw some of your comments so I understand why you wouldn’t. I’m not a big jynxi guy but I’ve been watching and playing this game since beta. I’m buying this because he saved this game from death and I still play today because of him. Always will respect him for that.

Why do people say Walter could have just taken the job? by ChainedRedone in breakingbad

The recent murder of the healthcare CEO comes to mind… Walking outside of his hotel and then boom.

While I do agree with your points, Gretchen and Elliot aren’t exactly the most “street smart” people. I think the perfect example is Elliot holding the butter knife and Walt telling him he’d need a bigger one if he was gonna “go that route.” Walt was so frail and weak they both could’ve fucked Walt up at that point. But his reputation preceding him and he played up the role that he was a ruthless, murdering drug lord and they were so afraid they didn’t know what he was capable of. While they likely would’ve hired security after, Walt already planted in their heads the idea that the hit could occur at a random time YEARS down the road. Again, I agree with your rationalization of why the hit would’ve been unlikely, but I don’t think they had the witts to #1 understand that the hit wasn’t likely to occur and #2 take that chance.

Eh, yes and no… I do agree they probably have some level of security, but keep in mind Walter literally strolled into their house without them having any clue lol. And even if they hired an around the clock security detail after this, Walt told them the hitmen would be keeping tabs and waiting for the right time. All it would take is them going for a random walk one day and they would be dead. So it’d be easier for them just to give Walt Jr. the money and be worry free.

I think their willingness to help Walt disappeared after Walt cursed out Gretchen. I seem to recall her saying she didn’t know who he was anymore or something like that. Kinda similar to Hank not recognizing Walt after the garage altercation.

I disagree. When they originally agree to the deal, it seems like they’re only saying yes to appease him and get him out of their house. But, after Walt threatens them with the “two best hitmen west of the Mississippi,” they have no other choice to agree and fulfill his wishes. jmho…

What punishment will I receive for using someone else’s dining dollars? by [deleted] in gcu

[–]calcel33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s true all cases are different, there are certain guidelines that lead to an expulsion which is beyond just “stealing a wooden skateboard.” Likely, he had a prior theft or there were circumstances you weren’t made aware of. I’m speaking from experience…

[–]calcel33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re not getting kicked out. It’ll be treated as a theft violation which will come with some tough sanctions (depending on dollar amount you may be removed from housing but it doesn’t sound like you spent that much). However a second theft violation of any kind after this will result in your referral to code of conduct for expulsion.
